I have reserved a fireworks celebration cruise leaving from the Contemporary for a suprise for my dads birthday and was wondering if anyone knew how much it was to add a cake or dessert? Also wondering if anyone had any special tips or stories about their own cruise experiences?

It was the high point of our trip 2 years ago :cloud9: . Everyone loved it. A very special family time. :goodvibes It is colder on the water so be sure to dress warmly. They do have blankets on the boats but sometimes not enough for your party. Can't help you with the food as we didn't eat on the cruise. We are thinking of booking it again for next year. Enjoy!! pixiedust:

We took eight people all our own family. When we went it was much cheaper, only 150 plus tip for the captain. I believe it is 250 now but you are given chips and sodas (not sure as this information changes often). We did not have sound on our cruise. It was a lovely private family time and the fireworks looked great. We arrived a little early and our captain gave us a tour around the lakes and resorts. :cheer2: We hope to do it again next March.

All foods are purchased directly from Private Dining (Room Service). So you would have to call the resort direct for additional prices and information. You can get just about anything you want (cake, chocolate covered strawberries, chips, nuts, individual desserts, pizza hot wings......)

The cruises are lots of fun and most captains really make it very enjoyable, the more you talk and ask questions, the more they will be apt to interact.

I'm doing a cruise on May 13th (sorry no additional room). They faxed me a menu. If you PM me a message with your email address, I'll forward the menu they faxed to me from private dining. They are very helpful.

Anyone ever do a cruise on New Years Eve? If that ran for the midnight Fireworks, that would be sooo cool! I would love to pop some champagne and celebrate NYE out on the lake.
