Fireworks Credits

I came first in Fireworks today and won 900 credits. I thought you got more for coming first, any ideas?

you used to get 2 ice cube chairs and 900 credits for comming in first, which i guess in the twisted minds of VMK was worth the 1000 credit difference. when you get over 240K, get to the 5th level, and SO NOT win you get 1900 credits. Even with the ice chairs, its just not worth it to win. you still get firework pins when you dont win ( i think they just keep track of times you get over 240K )

Unfortunately, this is one of those games where it doesn't pay to come in first. First place gets 900 credits and 2nd through 5th place get 1900 credits. 900 credits is still pretty awesome though!

Its funny now the top 5 scores are all between 240,000 and 241,000 trying to NOT take first place LOL That is a challenge!

i dont think being 2nd through 5th means you get 1900 credits. I think you get 500 credits for scoring 200k points or better, and her 1500 credits for scoring 240K points or better. You then get an additional 400 credits for making it to level 5. You can come in 2nd but only have 230K points and only get 900 credits.

Thanks everyone. It is so confusing. I did get more credits for getting over 240k once before so that's why I thought I should have got more this time. I was still very happy with my 900 credits. It all helps to get the right amout for new magic pins

Actually, the fireworks game had a bug that VMK ending keeping.
The game was supposed to award the fireworks magic pin to the first place winner! Well, they realized that it was actually harder to come in below first place but above 240,000. I am guessing the VMK evil minds, in regards to awards, have kept that aspect of the game , forcing a healthy competition to lose!

Ok, then to condense and clarify:

To get 1900 credits, one must:

1. Score 240,000 points or higher but also...
2. End in 2nd through 5th place.

Since players in 1st through 5th place are the only players playing in
level 5, I thought it was redundant to add that as a rule.
