Fireworks at the California Grill

We just got back from WDW, and on our last night we thought it would be great to have dinner at the California Grill during the Magic Kingdom's fireworks. We had done this once before on our Honeymoon, and this trip was our 5th Anniversary. Just wanted to give folks a heads up that while they did dim the lights and stop serving while the fireworks were displayed, there was no longer any music being piped in from the Park. We just sat there in silence.

Does anyone know if this is the now normal, or if perhaps we just got a bad day when the system was broken?

There was music piped in on June 14th when we were there.

Well, that is reassuring! We were there on the 6/29. Hopefully it was just that night!! We would like to do it again, but sitting there in silence was less than exciting. Thanks for the encouragment/info.
