Fireworks after dinner at The Wave?

We're having dinner at The Wave during one of our MK days, and I was wondering if we should go back to MK after dinner for MSEP and Wishes or if we should just watch the fireworks from the Contemporary? I'm sure I've seen posts about where to watch from at the Contemporary, but I can't seem to remember what people have suggested... Thanks for any advice!

You can watch Wishes from the 4th floor observation deck.

Whether or not to go back to MK would largely depend on how much time you had after dinner, and whether you also want to see the castle show.

How long does it take to walk from the contemporary to main street? Our dinner reservation is for 5:30, and i think MSEP is at 7 and wishes is at 8. We'll probably end up walking back because I don't want to wait around until 8 if we finish eating by 6:30-7.

The walk is about 8-10 minutes and is about half a mile, that is to the bag check area. making the parade may also depend a little on which direction the parade is going. If coming from Frontier Land you will have extra time at the front of the park before it makes it there. The Wave is usually on point with reservation times. You should be out of there by 630 without too much effort.
