Will the fireworks be running all through June this year?

Usually from Bastille Day on until the end of August :) .

I remember last year I went 7th-9th July and the fireworks were working... are you sure they start on the 14th?

They usually start on Bastille day but last year started earlier (about 5th)

Is there a calendar for the 2009 fireworks on the website or something?
Sorry to be a pain...

Im not sure but if you look at the newest brochure on the official DLP site it might tell you when the summer season starts which would give you an indication of when they may start

:thumbsup2

Thanks, I'm guessing it's kinda like the 4th July in America. Shame we don't have anything like that in this country.

Yes it is. Bastille Day represents when the republicans stormed the BAstille (think Tower of London - ironically there were few inmates) sparking the start of the French Revolution to dethrone the Royal Family and establish the 1st Democracy in Europe since ancient Greece and Rome.

The closest thing we have in the UK is Guy Fawkes night, which of course is a celebration of stopping this sort of thing (so British).:rotfl2:

As for fireworks, you know you are pretty safe with anything after Bastille Day. Anything before varies, sometimes there is nothing, other times they have been going for a week or two.

I miss the Christmas fireworks they had until Jay Rasulo came on board :sad2:

According to the brochure the fireworks and extra shows eg tarzan definitely run from 4th july to end August
