firefighter discounted hotel?

my husband is a nyc ff-- someone told him there is a hotel specifically for cops and ffs--anyone know what he's talking about?

The Swan and Dolphin hotels (on Disney property, but not operated by Disney) offer discounts for government employees, which would usually apply to firefighters. I'm not aware of any other Orlando hotels that offer such discounts.

During the really bad fires a couple years ago WDW offered discounts to firefighters and rescue workers.

Currently the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolpgin hotels offers special rates to firefighters and other service personnel under their Goverment Employee discounts. i wanted to add that i am certain that cops and firefighters qualify for the government discouts that the above posters mention, but that before you assume that a gov discount includes cops and/or firefighters, always call the resort or e-mail them and ask. we were refused the discount at a place a few years back and i will never assume again. i check and keep record of who i spoke to BEFORE i book and then bring that info (e-mail or date/time person i spoke to) with me for check in.

some other places(i have confirmed apply to cops and firefighters) that offer a Gov discount (that are in a more modest price range)

- Floriday's Resort in Orlando (very nice place)
- just about any and every Days Inn

Fire and Police Union members can get a discount through this site castleberry travel. Once you register for website, they have an Orlando hotel in Celebration, very nice. Last time I went, I got $59/night. Can't beat it, right outside Disney and they offer free shuttle serivce inside. Oh yeah, don't know if they still have it, but they also offered $10 additional for breakfast buffet for family.
