Hi all.
I'm sure you were wondering where my PTR for my upcoming trip was...... well the answer is, i was too scared to write it!
I will explain.
My MIL has been very poorly for several years (I won't go into details) but last week she was diagnosed with pneumonia........ It did not look good TBH. she has been in hospital and we have had to face some pretty difficult descisions about the future.
I had almost resigned myself to not being able to go next week, so have been in a bit of a fuddle about it all really!
Plus with it being 'silly season' at schools with one concert, nativity, panto after another I'm not sure which way is up..... Have had to stay positive and upbeat for my kids sake, but had to tell them they might not be able to go to DLP this time.........
Anyway, it seems she has turned a bit of a corner and seems to be responding to treatment

, so in the spirit of positivity that the boards represent i'm going to be brave and give you my PTR......
The cast:
Me 41, stressed, working Mum with a passion for 'magic' in its many forms. i love the joy of disney and that feeling of calm that washes over you on site of the castle! all is truly well with the world.
DD age almost 12. In may was still
but is mostly just
now! am hoping her magical core will come to the surface on our trip- i've missed it!
DD age 4! my little

she's feisty and fun.
The missions:
To get Minnies autograph for DD2 (we failed in May as we always had somewhere else to get to when we saw her)
To experince a disney christmas- santa and as much magic as possible.
To revisit our favourite things, and experince as many new things as possible, whilst relaxing in the magic of it all.
Enjoying being a family (without DH- who will be working OOOPS) together
FOOD
.................and a glowtini for me (SSSH, It'll be my first)
The Plan:
Sunday 19th December
Get train from herefordshire to London. Paid for in advance only £30 for the 3 of us, return DD2s first long train journey.
Travellodge booked (£10 offer in the summer) Royal Scot nr St Pancras. It will prob be dodgy but for £10 we'll manage!
Get taxi from Paddington to hotel, get driver to detour to see Oxford Street Lights, then a tea at Giraffe to set us up for the night, and to set the tone food wise (its a good job i've lost almost 2 stone since our May trip, its prob all going back on in the next 2 weeks!)
bed then up for breakfast (all 3 of us for £6, Fab!) before heading for St Pancras and our 1st eurostar trip.
Monday 20th December
Dd1 and I are very excited about this bit TBH
Not sure how long DD2 will sit but fingers crossed.
Hopefully will be bale to lug all the ski trousers and jackets and goretx boots we'll be taking through the station LOL Get snacks for lunch on train.
Arrive at Disneyland station then catch shuttle bus to Kyriad to check in
Hopefully arrive back at park at around 3.30 and use our Dream passes to get into the magic
Then as much as possible on the first night:
mickeys winter wionderland show
Xmas tree lighting
BTM if possible
IASW (obviosly)
Then dinner at Blue Lagoon (express hopefully) before fantillusion parade at 8ish
then hang around as long as is feasible given we are aiming to be at EMH at 8!
Tuesday 21st December
Catch EMH do as much as possible rides-wise.
Then head to salon Mickey for snacks before queueing to see santa !

Aim to be in the queue for 10 when it opens (maybe stopping to get a BTM FP on the way)
then try and catch as many charcters as possible- especially Duffy
DD2 obviously wants to experince the princess pavillion as well!
Lunch will be CS (maybe Hakuna Matada or Col Hathis)
The MMC and OUADP before Aurora, fitting in as many rides as we can, (partic Alice and Casey if poss)
before Innventions for a massive blow out supper.... and a glowtini.................
Wednesday 22nd Dec
Pack our stuff (hopefully I'll have done this the night bafore) and try and arrange bags to go straight to eurostart with Kyriad hotel.
The EMH again followed by salon Mickey.
Do studios for the morning, we would like to see Stitch and Animagique and catch some more characters.
the Annettes for a massive lunch (I LOVE burgers)
before heading abck to DLP to buy our baubale for our tree at home and catch the last of the parade before the train leaves.
get snacks form the station shop for the train.......................
Sleep all the way back to London.
Then back to travellodge for the night (anothr £10 deal)
before heading back home on Thursday to defrost the turkey!!!!!!!!
Fingers crossed now we'll get to do it all!!!!!!!!!!!!
