fingerprint tickets at Universal

Yes they do,
They program in your thumb print:thumbsup2
That's true but I've noticed lately...if it's busy they will use the hand held scanners and not fool with the actual readers. The scanners seem to have trouble working and it slows the lines down.

This was my experience this past week. They scan your right index finger...sometimes. But if the line is long, and/or the finger scanners don't seem to be working right, they use the hand-held scanners on the tickets only.

IME, the finger scanners at US/IOA don't seem to work as well as the ones at Disney. My DD especially had trouble, but they did let her in (eventually) every time. I did see one occasion where a teenager with a ticket printed off the website got an "invalid ticket" message and they sent him to guest services while his family waited on the other side of the turnstiles.:sad2:

We had the same trouble in June with our youngest DS's ticket and they eventually just let him go thru and think it happened about 2 times

I've also seen more trouble at Universal with them than at Disney

Well both last week and this week, my fingerscan for my Disney AP wouldn't work. Both times they tried a few times and then asked me if I was sure I was using the correct finger---well duh---I've had the same pass for the last twenty visits. Then they just let me in without it ever working. Disney tends to turn off the scan during busier times, too. They still have you scan and don't tell you that they are off though.

That's true...When I was at the MK right after Christmas you didn't have to use the finger scan. Just put the ticket in and go.

They scan your right index finger.

We were there yesterday and they scanned our right index fingers. DH and I went to City Walk for lunch. He had no trouble getting back in but it took me a couple of tries.

I also had trouble with the thumb print on the free locker outside of Mummy trying to get my backpack back.

Last time I went, none of us had any issues with the index finger thing. My sister did have some issues with the locker thing though.

& yeah, at least Disney is doing one finger now. I worked there when I was the 2 finger thing... that was a PAIN. Noone could do it right & ppl wouldnt listen, they just wanted to run through the turnstiles. haha
