finding the hotel....

Does each hotel have an entrance from the main road or do you enter one main entrance and then look for your hotel? Is the entrance different from the entrance to the parking garage? I'm sure there are plenty of signs to direct me but just wanted a heads up to know what I am looking for when I get there. We are (hopefully) driving from MI and will be arriving on Sun. March 26th most likely during the late afternoon early evening. I have read some people have very long waits to check in, would that be a bad time, should we maybe make a stop somewhere on the way and arrive later in the evening? maybe stop and eat outside the park before we check in? Thanks for the advice - again! Where would I be without you people?

The hotels are very clearly marked (except you may go past Portofino and have to circle around) You don't want to go to the parking garage.

I would go to the hotel directly. If the line up is long, hang out at the hotel for a bit until the line goes down. If you are loews first you can use that line.

You didn't say which hotel you are staying at but we were recently at the RPH. Once you get off the Interstate onto the local road, you drive past the parking garage on a four-lane road with a median and the hotels all have separate entrances off the road (can't remember the name of the main drag) and there are signs that say things like "Royal Pacific Hotel Registration" "Royal Pacific Hotel Banquet Parking", etc. so there's no doubt which driveway to turn into off the road. The hotels are not just right next to each other, one right after another, with a common parking lot.
