Finding out if we are having a Boy or Girl in DL!!

A bit off subject but how can I pass this opportunity up?! We have had our X-mas trip planned for many many months now. In August we found out we are expecting our third baby in April and this coming Friday, Nov 30th, we have our big ultrasound. Here is the kicker, hubby is finding out and I am not! Yup I know sounds crazy, but he is a secret keeper, so it won't get spoiled until it's the right moment. He is planning to surprise me and our two boys (4 & 2) at Disneyland with the baby's gender...I didn't want to find out the old traditional way like we did with both boys in the u/s room. I want it to be a magical surprise and where else on earth can you get any more magical than at Disneyland!! I am so excited for next week to come because we leave on Weds.

They sell "my first ears" (mickey ears) in pink and blue at Disneyland. Maybe your DH could announce it that way.

Wow I have never seen those! I guess I never had any reason to look for them though. DH and I have talked about a few ideas...a onesie, ears and have them write "it's a ---" on them, or an ornament. We get ornaments for the boys every year so we though they could pick their own out and then pick one for a girl and one for a boy. Then DH can secretly get the right one to give us... He also had another idea that I don't remember. Can I put you in touch with him?!!

Can you tell we are super anxious?!! I have to relax, I must relax...how do you relax??

Oh how fun and exciting! I had a friend whose husband found out at 20 weeks, she didn't until the birth (at 41 weeks). How he kept that secret and how she had the discipline to not want to know when he did, I'll never know! Let us know the outcome and congrats on your third little one!

So we just got home from our ultra sounds apt. and I didn't find out the gender!!! However, neither did my husband! The baby had it's legs tightly crossed so there was no telling. I guess I won't be able to find out the baby's gender while we are at DL next week. Now I have to figure out what we are going to do to get a peak at what it is!!

OK.. this is what I was told. Drink a 20 oz coke before going in to the ultra sound.. the sugar will wake the baby up...

The 1st one I had she was keeping her legs closed like a good girl. the 2nd time I drank the coke and she was up and moving and I found out it was a girl!!!


With my first one.. The 1st ultra sound they knew... I did not want to know.. So my 2nd one at about 8 months.. as I was walking out the DR said "good luck with him------or Her!" So I asked is it rally a boy she said yes... Well I kept it a secret from everyone. Was not easy.. Wait. I told my best freind. as she 'hid' all the clothes as dad did not want to know what we were having..


Next time around.. Hopefully we wil not find out till the actually birthday!
