There is the Entertainment Book. There is a card in the book which can be used to get discounts at some hotels (like HoJo's). There are Australian Entertainment Books, I have the Gold Coast one, but I have had the Hawaiian one before and the card from the Australian one can be used at HoJo's for their discount rate (I believe there is a page on their website that states the different dates that rate is available).
Another Discount on accommodation that I believe is still available is a 15% discount at HoJo for Disboard members.
There are also many printable coupon websites (coupon cabin.com is one, but if you google printable coupons, many websites will come up), they have discounts for shopping and also many restaurants.
If you have an NRMA or RACQ/V etc card, on the back of that it has the
AAA symbol. This can be used at many places in the US for AAA discounts, including accommodation or even tours. We went on a couple of Grayline tours out of Anaheim and presented our RACQ card and received the AAA discount on all of the tours we did. When looking online at a resort, if there is an area to enter the AAA code, you enter the three digit code that is near the AAA for our club number.
Many of the chain restaurants, if you join their restaurant online you will get a coupon for some sort of discount whilst in the US.
Many shopping centres have discount books available, if you visit their websites online before you go, you can often find ways to register for a coupon book and print it up and take it along with you.
The AP is great for
Disneyland discounts, on food, merchandise and accommodation, but you can often get specials on accommodation that are better than the AP rate anyway. If you are not going for long and you don't have a very large group, the AP may not be the best option (just one in your group needs to buy it for the discounts). It's something that you need to do some calculations on to see if the card will pay for itself or not.
If I think of any others I will let you know.
