I bought my tickets from AAA and booked my hotel with lowes so I can use my lowes first card...Do I still get a coupon book???

Depends upon what rate you booked with. If you called and the phone operator didn't mention it, then probably not.

I got my voucher to receive my booklet when I did my survey online after I bought my tickets. These tickets do NOT have an expiration date, so am I still eligible to get my booklet in 2009 when I go?

I'm assuming they just automatically give me the updated one.

Also, what does MC have to do with this? If you actually have to purchase the book, you can only use MC? (sorry...kind of confused)

I would expect that your voucher would still work in 2009 if it doesn't have an expiration date and Universal is still giving out coupon booklets. There's no guarantee that coupon booklets will be available in 2009.

As for MC, there's probably a deal between MC and Universal that MC card holders also receive the coupon booklet if they use their MC card.

I'm pretty sure the booklets aren't available for purchase and are given out as a promotional gifts such as booking with a special rate or with a certain card (MC).

are you sure no expiration dates?
i picked up the booklet last year and there was an expiration date in them.
i mailed mine off to someone on this board that needed them more than i did.
i used my ap and aaa for the discounts of 10% off.

I think sunshine is talking about no expiration on the voucher to get the booklet. Looking at the booklet that I received this past May, the coupons have a 12/30/08 expiration. And thanks for the update on MC.

I looked and there is no exp date on my VOUCHER, but i do beleive the coupon books do expire.

I would of thought somewhere on it, it would say, While Supplies Last, but it doesnt.

laura, it's usually the same type of coupons each year.
you do just as well with the ap or aaa cards.


the only thing they stopped doing is listing the 20% coupon off the main shop in ioa and the studios. last time they had those coupons was back in 2007.

they did take off one kid eats free with adult entree ordered for one of the city walk places this year. other than that, it's about the same as last years.

Yes,...that is what I meant. My voucher (that I had to print out) does not have an expiration date on it. I'm just assuming that when I turn it in the voucher on my trip (in March 2009), I'll get a 2009 book. Hopefully, they will still be doing this promotion.

By the way....do I turn it in at the resort or the guest services at the park?

it is not always the same booklet as what you get with the voucher.



opening up a can of worms now here on that statement.


for those that want the coupon booklet since you have the voucher, don't worry about what is in it.
the coupons have been listed in the threads a lot.
see phamton's link to jodie's listing for them.

think of it this way. you already have been planning to do a vacation and take in universal. anything you get while you are there is an additional blessing. just wait til you get there to see if the coupons would change any of our plans. ressies aren't a necessity for the resturants.

That is correct. You can only use one type of discount per purchase: booklet, AAA or AP.
