After getting some money as a wedding present we decided to upgrade from the Hotel New York to the Disneyland Hotel for the first time ever! :cool1:
I haven't told my daughter, I thought I'd do it when we're on our way or maybe not at all until we walk in there!
I can't wait, it's going to be a real treat for us, my new husband has NEVER EVER been to Disney.... :confused3
We got Mon 5th Jan to Thurs 8th Jan for £637 which seemed just too good to pass up....

Your daughter will be so excited, I hope you can keep it a secret until you're there.

I'm going to really try to keep it a secret, I'm desperate to tell her though ! :cheer2:

Are there lots of characters there?

Any chance I'll meet daisy?? Or will I have to put some little kids out for a photo? I don;t like letting kids miss out. Why I like cafe mickey!!

Yeah, thats what she loved before at the Santa Fe she didnt want breakfast she was too interested in seeing the characters. Bless her.:cutie:

I have seen up to 5 around out side the restuarnt. There is usually one at the photo location in front of the fireplace which is where you queue like the other hotels and they have up 3 or 4 characters outside the restuarnts. The characters we have seen at the DLH in the morning are Tigger, Stich, Tic and Tac, Pluto, Mickey , Minnie, Dasiy, Donald, Stooge,Goofy and Robin Hood. It is a good idea to go down early for breakfast if you want to see the characters so there is less people around. We always go before 9am as DD likes to get autographs and it can get a bit busy later.(I think non guest come in on the way to the parks)

Yaaay! I would love to have my picture with Daisy, fingers crossed she's there one day! :)

I don't know if they have a notice board which tells you what characters are out and what time, I know they had one at the HNY however never checked at the DLH, might be worth checking so if Daisy is going to be there you won't miss her, or maybe the front desk will know.

You can always pop back to the hotel at 4pm as there are loads of characters around then aswell.

Yeah, I probably will do. I never wanted to in the past as I didn;t feel it was fair to the people who had paid to stay there for me to get their benefits.

I agree Torsie but come January there is no stopping us haha
I'll also be looking for Daisy, she's one of mine and DD's favourites, I'm also looking forward to getting my DH pic with her, he's NEVER EVER been to Disney before....he's only goin for our daughter's sake I think, bless him
