Finally ready to buy, but now I can’t find a contract that I like!

Finances are now such that we can add on. We had talked about waiting for Poly 2, but DS liked VGF and we are worried that Poly 2 is going to make the overall Poly infrastructure crowded. Plus as he puts it “we can always stay in the bungalows.” But of course now I can’t find a contract that is interesting in my use year. We may bite the bullet and top up direct, and then get a riviera contract resale after next January if the family enjoys staying there (DD and I loved it).

Patience is not my strong suit.

Just tell your agent what you want an be patient. Its a very long commitment so wait for what you want.

Not to mention that you find one you do like and it goes to ROFR and you loose it and have to start all over again. That is the FUN of buying resale.

If you really want VGF and RIV.... go buy 1 of them direct. With incentivized pricing, in the long term, it's really not much more than buying re-sale. And then of course, you can use your points at both.
I suspect the "Resort Studios" will generally stay bookable at 7-months considering they are adding 200 of them. So a direct RIV contract could be a way to go.

We have a lot of direct points already and don’t NEED any more. WANT is a different matter.

I was thinking about topping up our VGF (we have 125 direct) to 150 or 175. Sometimes we fantasize about buying 125 resale but I don’t know if it is needed.

For RIV we are mostly a BC family, so it would be for when 2042 rolls around. I’m sure there will be a BC 2 at some point. I also just really liked the resort.

Several resales companies have apps that you can put in your criteria for alerts. May help you feel like you are making progress 'doing something' and help to not miss the contract you seek.
