Finally my first post!!

I have been "lurking" on this forum for a long time and have decided to finally come out of hiding. I REALLY enjoy reading the posts and would like to thank everyone for all of the great information they share. I successfully planned a great trip last June because of all of you. Now I am in the planning mode again for next May so I find myself on DIS daily. My DH and two DS think I am nuts (most friends and family too, they just don't get the love I have for Disney ). I tell them there are far worse things to be addicted to right? Again, I just want to thank all you for your thoughts and ideas.

welcome! it looks like you are not far from my area of CA. I am an hour north east of San Fran.
I think you are fine being and addict, my entire family loves Disney and the extened family thinks we are nuts as well.

welcome. yes it is addicting but its fun and fine. im already planing a trip next christmas and my oct trip isnt even past for this year. Yes, this site is both wonderful and addicting!

We have been going down I-5, mostly because I thought it was faster. Its a pretty boring drive, not much to look at. We start really early and the kids sleep alot. Why do you choose to take 99? Is it a better drive?

I think we take 99 because of habit. My parents and my sister's family take I-5, and we always arrive ahead of them. We start early too, and when we can't hold out any longer (usually after lunch) we break out the dvd player. How did I ever survive the drive to DL without one of those when I was a kid???

Yummm Dole Whip, that is on my list of must haves for our next trip, and I understand you can take them into ETR and enjoy them with the show? How refreshing!

We don't have a DVD player for the trip but we do have PSP's, Nintendo's, cell phones (my 16 year old is a heck of a texter). My what a long drive! DVD player would have come in handy a few years back for sure when they were a bit younger.

Hello there Disneyluvr2 I was just thinking about you. I had noticed you were from Chico. Hope all is well with you and your family, I know there is a big fire there. Its really hazy here and last night I smelled smoke. I was told it was from the fire near you. We aren't even really all that close its amazing how far the smoke travels. I am southwest from you maybe and hour and half or so.
