I made reservations that won't make me feel guilty while trying to build my stressed out house. me and dh can hopefully go and RELAX!!!

As much as I wanted to stay at WL I can't justify paying that much for a courtyard view that I don't want.

POR ~ Mansions hopefully

:jumping1:

Good for you, enjoy your vacation! :sunny: In march we stayed at PORS before and after our Wonder cruise (land and sea, on our own) got both bayou & mansions. We wanted to try them out. NOW, we had not been back since this was DXL-Lndgs and have been staying in Dxl's so was a little apprehensive about it. BUT, it was wonderful. The grounds are beauitful, boat to DTD is great, good bus service. the cm's where nice. and our rooms where both "new"! I would go back in a heartbeat without thinking about it. In fact, I wanted to stay there again in august but we didn't want to "move" around so much and stay put..... . :rolleyes1

Our mansion room was in Parterre Place, very quiet, waterview on the far corner of the building over looking the river and trees. Very nice. Easy walk to the main building, over a bridge, and a great pool on the other side of our building. We used this laundry it was very nice. The "room" was maple type woods, and decorated the way I expect POFQ must be Kinda nice but plain? on the inside. The outside and grounds, buildings is really where the mansion's shine. Nice drapes, and bed spreads, armorie, had privacy curtain, fridge (pretty lg) and lg TV, 2 sinks (but kinda low, and on small side?), new bathroom room fixtures with nice shower head. ;) Building has an elevator for luggage.

Bayou, was building #38, this is a maze! Finally got a hang on where to go back there. Its easy to get lost. Our room was so cool! I love the "cabin feel" the log beds, the "homemaid quilt look" very rustic. These buildings might be plain on the outside, but the inside is really spectacular. Our room had same ammenities but no elevator and had a trundle bed. Buildings here are 2 story not 3. Otherwise same furnishings just different motiff.' At first I thought we where far from things but in reality after we figured out the system it was just as close. :rolleyes2 So do not be dissappointed with the bayou, they are very charming in there own right. Just mostly on the inside. ;) Actually when we stayed in WL, I thought there rooms where plain compared to the bayou rooms. :confused3

In any event you will be in WDW!!! and having a great time. ::MickeyMo And not coming back to a bunch of bills and problems. I don't think you will be upset at all once your there. :sunny: We where very happy. It was as nice as I remembered, and plan to stay there next year again.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I can help with. ::MinnieMo

Mky princess:

You will love POR, I stayed in the Oak Manor mansion and really enjoyed my stay. The themeing of the resort is very beautiful.

Thanks everyone. this house stuff is just so overwhelming. I am looking forward to getting away.

I know how you feel. We built a house two years ago. We were gone for two weeks (DW and Tampa) and we must have asked our builder 50 times was there anything we needed to do before we left. When we returned there must have been at least 20 urgent phone calls on our answering machine. They needed to order appliences (the only thing we hadn't picked out yet) and they drywalled without knowing were to put the extra cable and phone outlets that we paid for.

Be sure to check with your builder before you go. (If it will do any good)
