story:

nicole slept over at my house the night before take off....we were SOOOOO excited as we had been planning this vacation for what seemed like FOREVER!!!! Our plane took off out of minneapolis, MN at 6am, so we had to wake up by 2:30 to get to the airport on time. yeah... we got no sleep, but that didnt stop us from bouncing with excitement ALL DAY LONG.

After what seemed like a flight that was never ending, and making a quick pit stop in detroit, we FINALLY made it to ORLANDO!!! we hopped on Mickey's magical express and OFF TO THE WORLD WE WENT! 1st stop- OKW... that seemed like a GORGEOUS resort. Holy cow. lucky for us, we would get a chance to stay there on the 2nd part of our trip (more to come later!) 2nd stop: SARATOGA SPRINGS!!! OUR STOP!!!!!

My 1st impression of the resort was that i didnt like the OUTSIDE of it as much as i did with OKW. The construction ruins the affect for me. But i wasn't going to let that get me down! no-sir-ee... i was in DISNEY! Way better than being in school or work!

Anyways, we get checked in, and we find out that e are located in the "springs" building (ROOM # 4221). My parents 'bought' nicole and i are own 2 bedroom suite, and WHAT A GORGEOUS ROOM!!! goodness!!! I got the master bedroom this resort and nicole got the other bedroom. we each get our own bathroom and everything. We were overwhelmed to say the least. We eventually got unpacked, waslked around the resort, took some pictures, checked out artist's pallate, and went to DTD.

I will say, that the wold of memories store dissapointed me quite a bit, because i am a HUGE scrapbooker, and i didnt really find much there. Oh well. I still wasnt going to let that get me down!

He hit the sheets early Wednesday night (last night) considering we were on about 48 hours with no sleep... but had an early wake up call for today!

Thursday oct 18th- (today)

What a GREAT night of sleep! Oh my goodness. i honestly dont think i had EVER slept as good as i did in that bed! everything about my sleep was PERFECT!

We got ready very quickly and head over to the bus stop and cought the 1st one heading to Epcot. BOOOYYYYY was it HOT. Record breaking temps ( i heard it got to 92) and very humid. Good news about that, is i think i burnt off every single calorie i ate in world showcase! Anyway... we immediately found a photopass person and had our picture taken infront of Spaceship earth! he photopass photographer was very friendly and a lot of help! Then we notced on the ride baord that test track was CLOSED.... NO WAY!!! Thats the major reason we went to epcot. So we walked over there anyway just to get a picture of it.... but IT WAS OPEN!!!!! we got on with NO WAIT!! walked right on!!!! ok... i LOVE that ride. and i LOVE that you can put it on photopass! AWESOME AWESOME ride!

Then we checked out the living seas and rode the new NIMO ride. Once again, NO WAIT. walked right on! it was cute, not my favortie though. i still loved it, because i love everything disney, but not a ride for thrill seekers! (and i knew it wouldnt be, i just wanted to check it out... *and i'm not a thrill seeker by anymeans)... We also hit Soarin' (which was my 2nd fave).. Living with the land (which they make education mix PERFECTLY with a ride)... Honey i shrunk the auidence ( i liked it a lot, but my only complaint was that we were standing for a LONG time before they let us into the theater) and figments imagination ride.

We also checked out World Showcase, but jsut walked right through it, taking pictures at the main areas because the amount of sweat that was dripping from our boddies would probably be considered way abnormal and way too disgusting for this thread!

I did think EPCOT was BEAUTIFUL though! Bus service so far has been slow, but i guess that is to be expected at SSR... Food has been tasty (snacks in WS and grocies ordered from garden grocer) and weather overall has been REALLY REALLY humid and hot (compared to MN where its in the 30's)

Tomorrow (Friday) we are off to MGM. Andill try to continue as soon as i can!
Saturday- MOVING TO OKW and going to Magic Kingdom and bkfst reservations at crstal palace, sunday Animal Kingdom and bkfst reservations at donalds, dinner res. at 50s prime time in mgm...

as i look over this, i realize this may seem like a bunch of nonsense... but forgive me, it's late, and im super tired, but i wanted to inform my fellow dis'ers as soon as i could!

If you guys have ANY questions what-so-ever please ask!

Off to bed! MGM tomorrow!!!! Tower of terror, i will not chicken out on you this time!

Have a MAGICAL night, everyone!!!

We'll be there Sunday. Hope you're having a great time.

your own 2 bedroom suite! lucky you! Sounds like you are having a great time so far!!! Cant wait to read more! say hi to mickey for me! lol :wizard:

sorry it took so long for me to post more, but i just got back home, much to my disapointment, but here goes nothing!

ok so on friday we went to MGM. Boy, it was anoter scorcher... it was in the 90s and super humid. BUT... here's the good news:

I WS A BIG GIRL AND I RODE ROCKIN' ROLLER COASTER AND TOWER OF TERROR!!!!!!!!

What great rides!!! i can't believe i used to be scared of them! both pictures turned out AWESOME so i had to purchase them both, but oh my goodness, i could not stop talking about either! They were amazing!

We also went on the backlot tour, and i thought that was pretty good! It was interesting to see all the behind the scenes stuff that they show you! our tour guide was fabolous as well:) (i forgot her name though... im horrible with names)...

But that's pretty much all we did at MGM. i wanted to stay for fantasmic and the parade, but it was just miserable outside, and so we went back to Saratoga Springs and just hung out. I'm not sure if any of you are DVC members, but if you are, you get 3 free dvd rentals at your hotel. (it was nice to be able to take advantage of that and be able to relax in the air conditioning!)

***********Saturday the 21********************

This was a LOOONNNGGGG day!

Everyone transfered over to Old Key West that morning. Once again we got a 3 bedroom and a 2 bedroom. the outside is gorgeous, but i wasnt too thrilled with the inside. we were in building # 49 room # 4912. The beds were ROCK hard and squeaked everytime i moved and that was super annoying. Plus i was not a fan of the bathroom layout. I was spoiled before at saratoga and had the master bath and bedroom, so of course, this wasnt quite as nice. Oh well though. I still had a bed and shower, and that's all that mattered.

We headed to Magic Kingdom that morning, and had reservations at Crystal Palace. I LOVED CRYSTAL PALACE! every single one of the charaters spent a ton of time at our table, and took LOTS of pictures with us! I had mentioned when i made the reservation that it was going to be my sisters 14th birthday that we were celebrating and so piglet brought her out a cupake, and a birthday card! It was so cute. Then piglet whipped out a napkin, and pulled out a chair, and wanted to eat with us. But, piglet's assistant told piglet that he already ate breakfast! Piglet threw a fit! :)

Also... it was weird, because as i was eatting my breakfast, i saw a waitor that looked JUST like a waitor that we had at MGM 50's prime time cafe FIVE YEARS AGO!!! wouldn't ya know it, it was!!!! His name is Manny. Such a nice guy! He came over and talked to us for a good... 5-10 minutes. I couldn't believe how after 5 years, we happened to run into him again, at a DIFFERENT theme park restauruant!

At magic kingdom we had made it JUST in time for the pirates of the carribean little show with captain jack and mack. holy cow (times 3934923749792...) Captain Jack really does look JUST like johnny depp... i wanted to ask him to marry me, but i thought that would be a little odd, lol.

We also went on the jungle cruise and into the enchanted tiki room. Jungle cruise was fun. Corny, but fun. The guide was fabolous, and i loved her stupid jokes. Tiki room was all right, it didnt really tickel my fancy.

however, after that we headed over to BTMR but it was a 60-70 minute wait. so we grabbed fastpasses and when our time came to ride it, we walked by SOOOOOOO many people and ended up waiting MAYBE 3 minutes.... it was great! the ride was fun, but the best part was getting off the ride... a dream giver was there and WE ALL GOT DREAM MICKEY EARS!!!! HOW AWESOME!!!! It was great to hear everyone cheering and clapping and it just cheered up everyone from the unbelievable weather! So of course we wore them all around!

after BTMR we went back to the hotel... Shower and relax time. it was well needed! We headed back to magic kingdom for spectro magic and wishes. before spectromagic, i was talking with this absolutley ADORABLE 3 year old girl and i asked her where she was from, and she paused for a second and said "ummmm mommy and daddies house!".... i thought that was so cute! I loved spectromagic... but wishes was strange. It was still beautiful, but it was a halloween wishes, and not the typical one that i was looking forward too!

then we headed back to the OKW and crashed. i ihadn't been that tired for a LOONNNGGG time!!!

***********SUNDAY THE 21ST*******************

ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!

we had reservations at 9am for donalds breakfastsorus.... it was great food and our server was fantastic, but mickey was in SUCH A HUGE HURRY! it was like picture and bolt to the next table. goofy spent a couple minutes at our table, and gave each nicole and i a BIG hug AND kiss... pluto and donald were just there for the pictures. we didnt ask for autographs.

After that it was off to Dinosaur. cool ride! Very bumpy. not good for right after eatting, lol... but we survived!

It's tough to be a bug, was hilarious as always... but then it was time for EVEREST!

I had been wating forEVER to ride everest, and now that my time had come i was super nervous. I didnt know what to expect for the backwards part and i dont do drops well... but i was determined...

HOLY COW I LOVE THAT RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the backwards part was a piece of cake. It felt like it went down a little hill, nothing to wrry about... the it felt like it went UP a hill, and almost like you were going to corkscrew, but you didnt. then it felt like it curved backwards to the left and then the almighty yeti ripped it up! WOOOOOHOOO!!!!! how exciting. i was like freaking ou with excitement! then the drop. i was in row 3 so by the time the rest of the car made it to th top of the drop, we were mostly down, and it was NO BIG DEAL!!!! i LOVED IT! OH GOSH LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

then we did kilimanjoaro safaris and kali river rapids. the safaris was a bit dull because none of the animals were really out with it being so hot and in the middle of the day... and kali was a little dissapointing because i was expecting mroe soakage points. however, i did get SOAKED because i ended up backwards down the hill... but it was such a relief!!!! it felt darn good!

so after kali it was back to OKW to eat at 'goods'. decent quick food. i liked it. we had dining plan, so it was a good amount of food for a quick service. then back to the room to pack up and head out this morning.

it all went way too fast, and it was way too hot and i am totally needing a vaca from the vaca, but i ask me if i would do it all again, and i would say YES in a heart beat.

an over view of the hotels:

SSR- SLOW bus service. we were waiting for 1/2 hr 45 minutes sometimes. GREAT beds. AMAZING pillows... TONS of room, BEAUTFUL resort. not a fan of the construction, but after that's done, it will be even more beautiful.

OKW- nice landscaping, HARD beds, GREAT bus service, i personally never had to wait, and i saw lots of busses going all the time. there was ALWAYS one at the theme parks too when i wanted to leave and that was nice. Lot's of room.

over view of parks:

Epcot- Nemo, super cute. Test Track MUST DO... Soarin, amazing.

MGM- ToT and RNRC are sooooooooooooooooo awesome....im SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i got over my fears....!!!!!

Magic- dreams really do come true, and i HIGHLY suggest crstal palace for bkfst.

Animal - DO EVEREST. BY ALL MEANS... DO EVEREST!

well, my friends, that's it. im sorry if i bored you. but that's what we did. if you ahve any questions, feel free to ask... i LOVE tlaking about disney!

Have a magical day!

That was a great trip report thanks so much .

I finally talked DD 13 (on fri) to try all those rides on out June trip and just like you she loved them .

It looks like you gals used up all the heat because they are predicting highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's when we hit it this coming weekend.

Glad you're having fun so far. Enjoy the rest of your trip and remember to write a report of it afterwards.

epfootballcutie04 here- under my moms name...

out of all the excitement i think i forgot to mention that i am home. much to my dissapointment! We had a connecting flight in Detroit which made yesterday a VERY long day, and now im up at 5:30am to get ready for school. (i did not miss it one bit) However, I had a great week in disney, and i am majorly bummin' tht the temps dropped right when we left. But i still had a blast! I hope all of you going soon have a great time!

I'll try to post some pictures in here of some highlights of my trip when i get home from school.

Have a magical ('wild' as they say in DAK) day!

I bet the 90 degree heat was a shock to your system, since we have been in the 30, 40's and maybe 50's the last month or so.

Do you and your parents go down a couple of times of year, since you are DVC owners?

Last week was our 1st time going down with being DVC members. We are probably going to do a BIG vacation every two years or so. We are talking about maybe going to europe somewhere for the next DVC thing we do, which i would LOVE since i've never been there.

I LOVE disney, and i want to work there after i finish college... but i want to travel other places than just disney world too!

as promised, here are a few of my favorite pictures from my trip.
