Well, I'm kind of bummed! I have been checking my computer multiple times a day, and finally got the DING! I've been waiting for (Long Island to Orlando), but it's $85! I have never payed that much on SW BEFORE DING! I payed $79 each way our first trip, and $49 each way our 2nd and 3rd trips. At first I said, "No way! I'm not booking this!" But then I got nervous, figuring that if a lot of people do take advantage of the DING! that the flight I want won't be available at any decent price. SOoo... I caved in and booked it. Hope I didn't make a mistake!

Try living in Maine. Flights are SO EXPENSIVE! :confused3
Good luck to you.

i'm right there with you... the most i've ever paid is $79 each way... but today i, too, caved and paid $85... but i only booked the outbound portion of my flights as the DING fare ended 9/30 and we're returning 10/4... i'm hoping to get a better DING or internet fare before i have to book my return and use the credit towards those tickets...

there was an august DING the other day ISP to MCO for $44 so there's still hope!

I finally gave up today. I had been waiting for a DING even though I did not think I could get one. Any sort of deal......even internet, but nope. I found Delta had a great deal for a few bucks more on a smaller plane from an airport far more convenient than the one I am flying from using SWA. If only Delta had those prices back in Feb I could have done round trip. I do agree. The DINGS recently have been just as expensive as the full price I paid for the tickets I bought in Feb (flight in July).

Im gonna drive this time (I also live in Long Island). Ive waited for dings but it seems all the ones to orlando show up at 2pm while im at work and I get home and I only get the refundable fare option. Plus even with high gas prices it will still prolly be cheaper to drive.

We are going 9/26 - 10/4, maybe we'll see you there! Unfortunately, I already booked the return trip at $99, because I saw that the days surrounding it were becoming booked and I got nervous. So I started checking the flight I wanted at least once a day. I always put in 8 passengers just to see if it was becoming full, and one day it was "not available" for 8. Fortunately it was available for 4, so I grabbed it. Now I guess the best I can hope for is a cheaper DING fare to come out and I will wind up with credit.

which flight did you want on the 4th? everything's available for $99 'cept for the one w/two stops... even for 8 people!

maybe we'll be on the same return flight! and let me know if you get a credit, i can buy it from you to book my return! :)

btw, where are you staying? right now we're booked at ASMo, but might upgrade if i get that disney visa paid in full! :)

Oops, I meant we are returning 10/2! The 2 last NS flights are now booked, not only at the $99 but also the next higher fare. I guess it's a good thing I booked when I did. Thank you for the offer. I forgot that you no longer need the person's CC # to use leftover credits, maybe we should start a thread here: SOUTHWEST TICKETLESS TRAVEL FUNDS FOR SALE! :thumbsup2

Oh, we are staying at Pop Century.

ahh, i'm sure 10/2 is a busy travel day 'cause it's Yom Kippur and all the schools in this area are off... makes for a three day weekend (and it's why we're taking the kids out of school for a few days 'cause they won't miss as much w/a the day off thrown in there)

sounds like a good thread imo... i'm sure there'd be lots of action!

we were almost at pop century (stayed there twice before and loved it) but decided this is going to be the "stuff we've never done before" trip so we're staying at ASMo, going to new-to-us restaurants, going to MNSSHP, taking a fishing excursion and hopefully an illuminations cruise... oh, and riding Expedition Everest OF COURSE! :flower:
