On Mothers Day DH and I decided to just drive around town so I could try out my new lens. Well we ended up at Bass Pro Shop of all places. Here are two photos I got of the landscaping around the store.

both of these photos were cropped a bit. The lens is SO wide I was getting part of the store in the photo - and that I did not want.

this one was taken from the dock/marina that is set up for people who want to take their boat instead of their car to the store/restaurant area. This photo is was taken with a 20mm setting.

All in all I LOVE the lens and can't wait to use it at WDW and then at Vero - especially for the sunrise. :thumbsup2

Nice shots Jen! I have been considering that lens for quite some time.

Lovely shots! Any chance of sending some of that lovely weather over to Scotland for a couple of weeks?

I borrowed that lens to shoot a few pictures of an origami exhibition mounted by some friends - the lens made the room in which the exhibition was held look huge! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/atp/sets/72157604986303094/)

I'd really like to have this lens for myself. I'll just need to keep saving the pennies!

Looks like you have a great lens there, that focal length will be perfect for the parks and sunsets

Nice shots! I've been considering this lens for awhile now and trying to decide between it or the Tokina 12-24. What camera body did you use?

Looks great, Jennifer. Who know Bass Pro Shops could be so pretty? :)

You're going to love going wide in the parks :thumbsup2

thanks - I am loving it. I can easily see it being if not my favorite lens - one of my favorites.

Sure - if you want the severe thunderstorms that go along with it. ;) Been pretty icky around here this week. Very humid - lots of rain and tons of clouds. Hopefully this weekend is more like that day was. I checked out your photos on flicker. Nice job. :) It took me a year to finally get this lens. I had been coventing it for quite a while.

I used it with the Canon 30D.

I know! First time I went there just after it opened, I was blown away by the landscaping and knew I had to go back with my camera someday. That whole area is really getting developed into a pretty cool shopping area. I am hoping they keep with the landscaping theme and I can go back a lot more - and get new shots.
