Finally, good news!!!

Well, I can finally say that things are going my way. After 4 months of living with relatives and 2 months of renting, we finally are about to sell our house in Metairie, LA! DH has found a job with a 6K jump in pay and I am one happy camper. As soon as we get the money from the house we are going house hunting in Olive Branch, MS. DS loves it here and never wants to go "home". I feel a bit different. New Orleans is where I was born and raised. I miss my mom and dad. I feel guilty that I am not there to help rebuild the city. But the truth is that we were struggling to make ends meet there. We are now in a different city with no friends, but that will happen down the line. I am pleased with the decision we have made. Everything seems to be falling into place and now I can start planning my next trip to WDW!!! I don't care if I have to stay in the hotel of the extreme flushing toilets again. I NEED Disney. I love y'all. You keep me sane. Thank you for that. Sorry for the rant.

Congrats to your family. Good luck with the move. I do not know where Olive Branch is, but that is a pretty cool name for the place you are going to "re-start" your life (I am thinking in Biblical terms). Hopfully it is not too far from your family!!

My son says that it stands for peace. I have to agree. He's a little too smart for his own good, but I love him. He IS my only child, after all. So of course he;s the smartest child in the world. Thanks for all of the support, by the way. Y'all are the BEST!!!

Hey Tink--you're only about two hours away from me, and I travel through your new town often when I go to visit my mom.

The good thing is that you aren't far from the Tupelo Furniture market and the birthplace of the King...and to be so close to Memphis isn't really bad at all.

Unfortunately, WDW is quite a drive. You do have AirTran for your plane trips out of Memphis, so that's good.

I'm glad you're getting settled, and welcome to Mississippi.

Cool! Good to know aboutthe Tupelo furniture market. I figured it out on my Map Point software. Looks like it's about a 14 hour drive. That's not too bad since it takes us 12 hours to get to the World from Metairie. Thanks for the welcome!
