Who are these girls participating in this trip filled with estrogen and fun. And chocolate, lots of chocolate.

Firstly is Yours Truly, Kristin! The there's my Grandmother, Ceil. She's 82 and still running around like the energizer bunny. Last but certainly not least, Mia, age 10 will be 11 at time of trip.

Here some pictures of us girls:
Me: (This picture is especially for Yuki)

I'm not really that small, the giant robot is about 7 feet. But I'm still pretty darn small.

My grandma and I (oh and my dad)
halloween.jpg

This was after my dad ran a 1/2 marathon on Halloween called "Race for the Dead" to benefit a school in Chicago that helps kids in low-income areas. It was for Dia De Los Muertos or Day of The Dead. That's why my face is painted. I'm suppose to be a skeleton but I think I look more like a Panda:headache:

I thought doing a girls trip would be really nice, as my grandmother getting up there in age. It's not that my grandma doesn't love Mia's little sisters as much as she does Mia, however, she practically raised Mia. Therefore has a very close bond with her. Mia has never been to Disney before and grandma really wants to experience Disney with her before they both get too old for it.

I was also concerned about the how the babies would handle such a huge vacation. Disney, as we all know, is no small feat. The babies have never been in a hotel, and have never even been to a theme park.

Then there Maddie, not only does Maddie have Spina Bifba, but my family also suspects that she is ADHA as well. Her father is going to talk to her PT (physical Therapist) and see if they can have her tested. Maddie is a difficult child. She has melt downs at the drop of a hat and is does not stay still for very long. I was concerned about her being patient in lines and such. I think they need to wait a little while and do something on a smaller scale first with the babies like Sesame Street Place in Pennsylvania or even a Hotel with a water park in Wisconsin Dells and see how they do there.

My Aunt finally agreed with mye about that and said Mia can go with my grandma and I to Disney. BUT when my aunt first brought it up, Mia said she didn't want to go without her mother.

I figured if I talk to Mia I could change her mind.

You have to understand, Mia and I don't have the typical cousin/cousin relationship. We're more like Sister than we are cousins. I've been with her almost everyday since she was 3 months old.

I find her watch Hairspray in her room (that Zac Efron is just sooo dreamy:rolleyes:)
Side note:The original with Ricky Lake is SO much better
and I jump on top of her while she is lying on her bed with a squeal of "MIIIIAAAA" I roll over next to her and say quitely because the babies are around "I have a question to ask you. What if we did a girls trip to Disney, just you, me and grandma." At first she said no. Then I mentioned how she could have a break from her little sisters, we wouldn't have to leave the parks because they are tired, we could do anything we want, eat anywhere, and have lots and lots of fun. Then I tell her we could stay in a Disney Hotel since it's only the 3 of us. Slowly but surely the frown turned into a smile and she was giggling like crazy. She suddenly says "And then I can have my own Autograph book because Mommy said I'd have to share with the babies before." I also told her I'd take her to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, since there is only one kid now instead of 3. I can't get it for one kid and not the others. The babies would have thrown a FIT if Mia got her hair and make-up done and they didn't. They are all total girly girls. princess:

I proceeded to grab my lap top and show her the different Disney Resort there are. She really liked Poly but unfortunately it's a tab bit out of our price range. I really wanted to stay at Pop but my grandma stayed at All Star Music once and HATED IT. She really doesn't want to stay in another Value resort ever again. So POFQ is a nice happy medium. When we were browsing this resort Mia feel in love with the Alligator Pool. Plus they have beinets at the food court. MMMMMmmm. :cloud9:

I have a lot of surprises in store. I plan on making a passport like Yuki (YukiPhx) made for her DBF to have CM's sign at the KidCot tables at WS. I also plan on getting her (and myself) and Pin Trading set and Lanyard. We will also make a countdown Calendar starting in April.

Sorry for the long post.

FIRST TO REPLY!!!!

And OH MY GOSH, that duct tape duct tape Guren Lagaan is SO FREAKIN MIND BLOWINGLY AWESOME!!!!! I have to show Andrew cause he LOVES that show. And loves Gainax too.

Sounds good that Mia agrees to go!

Oooh, POFQ, that sounds awesome. I think the All Star Resorts aren't as nice as Pop cause they all share the same bus, and is more spread out that Pop is.

If Maddie were ever to go to Disney, she can always get a Guest Assistance Card which allows her and a party of up to 5 or 6 I think, to skip lines so you don't have to worry about her not being able to stand in line and wait.

A passport sounds good! Mine is actually pretty simple and rather ugly.....Hope yours turns out nicer!

And yes, Zac Efrom is super dreamy.

Excuses my while I freak out:

OH MY GOD, I JUST BOOKED A TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD AND PAID THE DEPOSIT. I'M GOING TO DISNEY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 12 YEARS
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::yay::yay::dance3::dance3::lmao::lmao::cool1::cool1::cheer2::cheer2::banana::banana::banana:

The frikkin Can-Can song is playing in my head right now!!!

Yay new thread! :)

I totally hear ya on the cousin/cousin relationship. My aunt is only a few years older than me and her son is technically my cousin but its more like he's my nephew, heck even my own kid at times.

I'm so glad you were able to convince Mia to say yes to the trip. Oooh, are you going to make an autograph book for her like the ladies do on the Big Give? I like those better than the one Disney sells.

Check the clearance section on Disneystore.com for some pins. Sometimes they have some sets for cheap, which is good if you are looking to trade pins while you are at Disney.

ok I'm trying to catch my breath right now.

One change though. I decided to book Coronado Springs because it has Queen Beds instead of Doubles. It will be more comfortable to sleep in since two of us will have to share a bed. And I love the Pepper Market. I also decided on getting a preferred room so it's close to everything and my gram won't have to walk too far to the buses and El Central.

OOOoo thanks for the tip on the pins crissy, I will for sure. I would like to make her an autograph book but I think she wants one of the official park ones.

I just checked my email and there was the Conformation email with my conformation number. :worship:

Now I REALLY need to start my planning journal. Holy Gaucamole guys. So excited.

You can also buy cheap pins on ebay. Scroll down the main board page and you'll find the Disney Collectors Board here on the DIS. They have great tips about pins and pins trading there and where you can get them at a discounted price.

Maybe you should go by the DISign board and look up autograph pages. They're really cute! Maybe seeing some of them will change her mind? It's definitely cheaper than buying an official one, and just so much more personalized! I think they have stuff for the Epcot passport too.

I just checked when I can make my ADR's on a ADR Calculator and the date came up as Christmas DAy. What an Awesome Christmas Present is that! Thanks Disney!:cool1:

Thank you crissy! :cool1::cool1:

I like this guy he sort of reminds me of the dot from the old 7-up commercials for some reason.

LOL I think it is just the Pink. It jumped out at me.

Maroo & I have a long running joke. She likes to show up every now and again on my PTRs & TRs and posts in PINK. :rotfl:

BTW, Tim I was reading your old TR when you guys stayed at CSR, and I got the idea to go to 1900 Park Fare for the character breakfast. I also I loved the video of the MAd Hatter and Pooh fighting. :rotfl2:

That was a great trip. It is amazing to see Juliana then and see her now. She is getting so big!

Seeing that fight was so funny. I swear it was funnier in person than the video. I love that Hatter... he is a trip! :lmao:

1900PF is a great restaurant for breakfast or dinner. ::yes::
