Example- Whitesnake's "Here I go again on my one" song. I thought he was saying "like a drifter I was born to wear cologne" instead of " born to walk alone". Duh! Cologne?!

Oh my, I could go on forever on this topic. I totally mishear lyrics still and I'm near 40! I used to think John Denver's Rocky Mountain High where it says "You can talk to God and listen to a casual reply" was (oh this is embarrassing)

"You can talk to guided missiles for a casual reply" as if that means anything!

My friend used to think ZZ Top's Sharp Dressed Man said, "Every girl's crazy about a shink shonk shank." Again, as if that means anything!!

I love this topic-I have some of those books of misheard lyrics and just laugh and laugh when I read them.
