I literally choked on my own saliva. I thought it was obvious that on a thread about a singles meet up that the guy who kept referencing his wife was only looking for a tango partner.

Hi, all. I finally caved and decided to go this event. Please sign me up for this meet. And I just stumbled on this on the Theme Parks University website: apparently Disney has gotten on the escape room bandwagon: http://themeparkuniversity.com/disney/walt-disney-world-officially-gets-escape-room-business/. Unfortunately, I think it's available only to corporate groups. Too bad. The themeing looks fantastic.

Wow, cool! I loved when Teresa, Craig, and JL did The Trip episode on the one in Orlando. And the guy in the glasses on the right in these pics used to work at the Adventure'rs Club - I saw him sometimes as The Butler, but mostly he was Emil Bleehall (hope I've got that right) and he was awesome!

If anyone is looking for something low cost (free actually). you may have seen the free tickets in your ticketmaster account from a lawsuit thread (budget forum). There is still shows in house of blues at WDW that haven't been fully claimed yet.. I know there is an elton john tribute on friday the 22nd if your getting in too late to do anything else that friday.

assuming they are eligible and nothing funny like you need to pay more then the ticket cost to mail them to you.

I'm not sure what we will ultimately do, as we have no details yet on the event, other than the live show taping. I'm trying to wait until we get some more info, just don't know when that will be.

I would like to get suggestions from all of you who are interested in the meet-up.

Other than the live taping, monorail hunt and credential pickups, we have no more itinerary information at this time. So...let's get a jump on things and we can keep or eliminate as we find out more on the itinerary.

I would like to know what you all would like to do for our meet-up. Reply with your suggestions and be specific (date, time, place, etc.). I'm trying to keep the locations out of the parks as some of us will not be going to the parks or won't have park hoppers.

I am suggesting...
1) Friday evening, Dole Whips on Polynesian Beach (or as close as we can get to the beach) to watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks, which start at 9 pm. We can decide which beach later if we choose this option (GF side, main or TTC side). There is also the possibility of Saturday evening at 9 pm or Sunday at 10 pm, but Friday will be my first suggestion.

or...

2) Friday, Sat or Sun evening at Disney Springs. Friday and Saturday might be too crowded with locals, I would suggest Sunday, but we might have a conflict according to John Magi. I had originally thought Paradiso 37 because we could sit outside on the deck by the lake, but the team gave it a not-so-great review, but I have always heard it was good, so I don't know. I'm worried that Jock Lindsey's might be too popular and crowded. I have very little experience with Disney Springs.

3) A resort lounge? At Wilderness Lodge? Contemporary?


In summary, this event should be very casual and friendly, just a get-to-know-ya gathering. And a donation to GKTW would be nice, too.

If you guys planned something for Friday, there's a decent chance I'd be able to swing by. Saturday and Sunday are my only park days, so I probably won't be cutting them short.
