Final report! - Cant believe I booked Super Bowl weekend -

Did you get a tpv?
We did not :( preferred view of the lake.
I do not think the walk form BLT to MK is anything particularly impressive, but I will say, this week when I was waiting for a boat at 11 pm with a nice, cool breeze and temps in the mid-50s, with a 4 year old asleep on my shoulder, I did think to myself, man, I could have walked to BLT by now. That said, carrying him all the way on that walk would not have been particularly fun either, so I guess pick your poison. I still would rather own CCV over BLT, but I can definitely foresee targeting some BLT preferred view rooms for future MK-heavy stays.
Yeah waiting for transport can be tough. We brought some non AP holding first timers with us so we are hitting all 4 parks. So when it’s just us 3 we will be splitting our trips and skipping parks to maximize location and park transportation.

Broke down for 15 minutes smack dab in the back side of water. 😍😍. Took a solid 2 minutes for people to fully believe it was actually happening and not a bit. Amazing!
Did the skipper keep up their routine during that whole time? My husband loves this ride as he enjoys puns and "dad jokes", I however don't have the same love unless we get a really exceptional skipper.

She didn’t at first, I think this was the the first time this ever happened to her. After she finally got ahold of someone for a tow she went back into character. I was worried they wouldn’t tow us through the tomb but they did and she was back to the normal jokes.

Have fun! We did not rope drop this week, but we did do the deluxe resort MK extended hours and it was fantastic, I had not done that before, so wasn't sure what to expect, and the park really emptied out after the fireworks.

I think SDMT is a solid choice for rope drop, especially with the Buzz Lightyear ride currently closed.
I would be very interested to learn more about your MK extended hours experience….

I am still processing the fact that they towed you with another boat—I would have sworn that they are on a track under the water!

I have also always thought they pretend steered the boat. It’s possible there was still a track of some sorts, we made it through the tomb with ease.

They have us an experience pass for it, but I was like that was pretty cool we don’t deserve that!

I'll post a longer trip report sometime this week, but watched all of the fireworks, and then did Pooh, Little Mermaid, and then Pirates. Pooh was maybe a 5 minute wait, and the other 2 were walk ons. Walking past Peter Pan, Small World, and Haunted Mansion, looked pretty similar - little or no waits. SDMT did have a bit of a line, but they were closed earlier in the evening (we had a 6:30-7:30 LL for it, and it converted to an anytime pass), so there could have still been some backup from that. Things still felt a little busy around the Pooh/SDMT area, but as we walked from the Little Mermaid over to Frontier and Adventure Land, the park just felt really empty - it isn't often that you feel like you haver parts of MK to yourself. Me and my 4-year old browsed the Pirates gift shop, and it was basically just us and the CM. Similar feeling walking all the way back to the front of the park. If my little guy had not said he was ready to go back to the hotel, I feel like we could easily have done another 4 or 5 rides in a really short time.

Epcot was slammed yesterday. Never have seen it that crowded in years and I go every year.
A Saturday with absolutely gorgeous weather that came off a week of some of the coldest weather central Florida has seen in over 10 years. That probably explains it.

I really wanted to do the Epcot extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests this past Monday, but we went too hard Sunday and Monday and ended up skipping it. Instead, me and my 2 boys had a delightful time in the Boulder Ridge pool and hot tub where we were literally the only ones in the entire pool and hot tub for about 2 hours.

Of course, temps were probably in the mid-40s and I imagine dropped into the 30s before midnight too. 🤣

So no fighting for a cabana then :)
