I have been told that the final few hours of the day at Hollywood Studios are really slow even when the park was bustling mid-day. They say that even the cool rides like TSM ToT and RnRC are walkons. Can anybody tell me if thats true. Its not that i dont trust this person, but he gets confused easily! I'm going at easter time, yay :)

Not the final "few" hours.
You can expect that the final "half" of the last hour (or so) will find
rides will be less busy.

That can generally be true of all of the parks.
And, is even moreso the later the hour happens to be.

Josh at easyWDW isn't a fan of evening EMH at DHS because there are only a few attractions open, plus Fantasmic gets out right when EMH starts and is very close to both ToT and RnRC, where a lot of those people will head.

I don't see this as necessarily a discussion of PM EMH (but, your info is correct, none-the-less.)

The main rides are next to walk on, little wait when |F! is on, that show takes a lot of people so less for the lines. If your not going to the show then yes the lines will be shorter.

Oops, my bad. I somehow missed that when the OP was asking about the last few hours of operation, she didn't mention EMH.

We spent 2 nights there in early-mid December. We were able to ride ToT as soon as a library filled up over and over. But I never saw TSMM without a crazy line of people waiting to get in from the outside. I had heard that they exaggerated the wait times at the end of the day, so I even peaked into try and see how it looked. Nope, it was full. I don't know if we just got unlucky or what. But our 2 FP+ rides were the only ones of our trip.

Only Toy Story Mania stays busy until closing (60 min wait), maybe RnR Coaster will too (30 min wait). Star Tours is walk on for at least the last 2 hours and ToT is close to a walk on except for after Fantasmic.

I think this might be what OP is thinking. F! takes a big crowd with it, on a non-EMH (just as tie-in) and if you're not at F!, then I agree the time when F! is lining up can make it seem quieter...

The very best time to hit the DHS headliners with minimal wait is while the early presentation of Fantasmic is underway. For example, during a recent summer visit we rode Toy Story 4 times during the final hour of operation (9-10 pm). The posted wait time was 75 minutes, but the actual wait was 15 or less each time. Many guests saw the estimate and just left, but the CM at the entrance was pretty honest about the actual wait to anyone that asked.

Tower of Terror can be pretty much a walkon during the evening hours. My kids rode it 13 times in about 2 hours during a Star Wars weekend evening when Toy Story was closed in preparation for a fireworks show.

In my experience, the late night crowd prefers RnR as it can keep a pretty steady line (30 min+) right up until a few minutes before close.
