I'm in. And, believe me, you won't ever get judged for any DVC obsession here...but you will get applauded! :goodvibes

Hey, everyone!!:yay: And I do really mean EVERYONE!! I never thought I would hit page 2. Thank You.:worship: I'm sorry that I have yet to update the PTR First time PTR jitters I guess.
With school about to start (2 in elementary and 1 starting High school:rotfl2::eek:) and living the life of the real "Mr Mom", just like the movie is(my kids are a bit older and house work is easy to me).

And, no, I DO NOT WATCH those lame azz soaps!! That is what the NFL Network and Discovery Channel is for. We have been busy shopping for clothes, doing some school supply Kung-Fu shopping (some of those sales are rough out there LOL), visiting schools, looking for a job:wizard: and raising 3 girls:scared1: is all hard work.
And, not to mention, all of the yard work(It still has to be done and it great exercise, in this nice hot and muggy Kentucky weather this year. And I always thought all of the work that housewifes do was, Shhhhhhhhh, All Easy.

I would like to raise a glass of ice tea (or BEER!!), in honor of the hardworking housewifes out there(And yes, all of you men out there too):drinking1. The past few days have been filled with keeping DD14 DD10 and DD9 busy so I don't have to hear....I'm BORED!! and still have some time getting "daddy" time:laughing:. (NFL is almost here and i'm trying to learn how to use my Canon Xsi. So I will have some great photo's from our up and coming WDW trip)

In the past few days, we've been to the Zoo,

And still had some time for the kids and myself to crank up some Guitar Hero. And yes, I get to show off a little, when we play GH Metallica!!:rolleyes1

Anyone else out there like to have your kids watch School house rock and quiz them afterwards? LOL I'll get to the PTR soon.

Thanks Again everyone

Our adult only trips are our favorites. We love taking our kids and grandkids (6 of them), but when it is just the 2 of us we relax, stroll around, eat in nice restaurants, have a glass of wine while people watching, sleep late or get up early when we feel like it. It is the BEST. We can also ride whatever we want whenever we want. Our friends look at us and say "Disney -again?" but we don't care. They just do not get it! And, by the way, we are 63 and 61. Love my DVC!!:cool1:

Have fun with TO---Go Eagles!!!

Love your report so far. We too are childless and enjoy Disney so much. Our obsession started on our Honeymoon in 97--DVC didn't come till 2005--should have been sooner. We did take the tour on our Honeymoon but I didn't think we could afford it. HA!! We spent more on the rooms from 97-05 that I think we could have bought 1000 points!!! Oh, well live and learn right? Have a safe and fun trip--can't wait to read more!!

It's funny how everyone is laid back and doesn't go commando without the kids. When dh and I went, we had a couple of days where we went from morning to night going to all 4 parks. And that was with me being 6m pregnant. It was so much fun being able to go from ride to ride without dragging the kids around. Granted we also had a bit of relaxing by the pool for short times and some nice quiet dinners, but we liked being commando's not having to worry about naps and overwhelming the kids.

On our 07' MNSSHP trip we were like this too. I wore a pedometer just to see how far we were walking, and the day we dressed up for the Halloween party we walked a total of 15 miles:scared1:. This upcoming trip sounds like its gonna end up being a little bit of both.

Family trips are like herding cats. I love the trips that DH and I do as empty nesters. He's about the only person I can do the parks with -- I still like to do all the big rides, and he'll put up with me taking photos of all the topiaries in Epcot during F & G. :rotfl:

I do hope you guys realize that going commando has a whole other meaning that might seem creepy when you talk about doing it at Disney around people who haven't caught on the Disboard vernacular.

Bengals, Browns, Eagles & Mickey - Oh My! Don't forget the reigning Super Bowl Champions...

DW and I are going "childless" the week after Thanksgiving and are really looking forward to it. Already have ADR's for Jiko, Victoria & Alberts, Crystal Palace, Tutto Italia, Kouzzina, Bistro de Paris. Also have ressies for MVMCP and the Backstage Magic Tour. Will get Candlelight Dinner Package when they FINALLY start taking ressies. We will also go to Jellyrolls for the first time. Naturally we had to schedule our trip around when the Saints aren't playing at home!! :lmao:

WHO DAT is now TWO DAT as in REPEAT

Yikes. They let Saints fans post here? Go Falcons!

:yay: HOWDY!!

OK, Here is an update for the Dec trip. We have 4 days planned for 1Br AKV-SV with hopes for a 1Br-CL over at AKL. We have visited AKL 2 times during Christmas and both times we NEVER saw one animal:confused3. Bad luck I guess:confused:. Then we have 4 days planned for BLT. a 1Br LV room. We are just trying to figure out that rooms will be worth it. A true lake view with wonderful sunrises or get a view on the other side in hopes of a restricted MK view. We are looking at what would be our best bet. We hope the AKL-CL room waitlist will come through so we can enjoy some FREE food!!:rolleyes1 Anyone know if CL has Samual Adams beer?

FYI- we don't plan on any commando on this trip if we can help it. Relax by all means possible. We are trying to figure if we should change days for a chance to see MSEP:love:. We have never EVER seen it. Should we switch a MK day for a Epcot day?

Oh nooooo! There are still Falcons fans? :lmao: We can talk about WDW for 363 days a year and then on those two days that we cannot mention (9/26 & 12/27 this year), we'll be civil, share a :drinking1 and not gloat over the results....and we know what that will be!! :rotfl2:

Looks like we are in a bit of a mixer this year. The days planned for MK just happen to be MVMCP days:love:(this was planned before MSEP was extended). And we don't know if MSEP will be at MK or not in Dec. There is nothing yet for sure saying if MSEP will or will not be there when we plan to be there (we hope so!!). We we looking at these possible ARD choices for dinning (we are planning on DDP for the 4 days while at BLT):

1. Le Cellier - We love this place
2. Tutto Italia Ristorante - we have heard nothing but good about this place.
3. Crystal Palace - We hope to get a table so we can see the castle lighting
4. Chef Mickey's - breakfast - this is the plan for the day we leave
5. Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House -breakfast before a couple massage?? :confused3
6. Boma–Flavors of Africa - breakfast before a couple massage??:confused3

And we plan on cooking in the villa a few times. We want to relax unlike our trips in the past. We are doing only 4 nights of DDP and will mix and match our OOP spending. With this being our first DVC vacation, we hope to do as much time at the parks as possible without having to get up at the crack of dawn every day (and who doesn't do this out there?)

We are trying to figure out what plans we have for dinning in the room. We think we are going to bring a crock pot and do some of the meals we like to make at home. At the same time, we are trying to figure out if we will have the food delivered to the resort or pick it up once we get there. If you have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. :worship:

This just in:banana::banana:, DW's BFF is joining us on the trip. She has never been to WDW and has heard from DW about the past trips. I hope she is ready for  FUN!!

FYI: Today in Louisville it hit 102:eek:. A cool day in Las Vegas:rotfl2:. But we have to add in humidity and the heat index today was a balmy 114:scared1:. The cats didn't want to go outside today. TOOOOO HOT HOT HOT:lmao:

Good news! I checked the park calendar for Dec a few days ago (we have a Wishes dessert party booked) to see if MSEP was listed - it is! The Spectromagic parades at 8pm on the non-MVMCP nights have been changed to MSEP! :woohoo: I can't wait!

Thank you!!
UPDATE:Change of plans (Again:goodvibes) We're going to see MSEP I may cry:lovestruc

Isn't it exciting?!?!? Did you see it in years past, or will this be your first time?

I'm worried we won't be able to see enough from the dessert party, and we aren't currently "scheduled" to be at MK on any other nights of the parade!:scared1: One night it's running (Dec 8th)we do have a reservation at 'Ohana for 5pm... hoping we can eat fast (first seating of the night, hoping this helps) and RUN to Main Street by 7pm! OR, maybe they'll push back park closing by an hour or so and buy us some more time...
