Hello everyone:hippie:. This is my first ever PTR. I'm going to try to do this in a way I think is fun and exciting. I just don't see how some people can have a PTR and have over 20 pages. (DW's TR from our first adults only trip didn't have much of a following:confused3)

This will be our 6th trip the the world and our 2nd trip child free:worship:. I think I'll give a story of how this trip became. This might get exciting:lmao: So, where to start?............Our first adults only trip was the best thing we have done together(check the links in my siggy for last adults only TR). I (yes a man) did all of the planning(well more like 95%). DW and I figure out when and how long, and once we get that going we look at dining for the DDP. We like to stay at the same park all day. We believe you waste so much time bouncing from park to park (at $79.00/day you have to get your $$$ worth). And it's even more time lost if you use WDW buses.

I have been planning this trip since we joined DVC:rolleyes1:yay: and planning is good!! At first, I wanted to go to 3 different DVC resorts:sick:. I wanted 3 days at AKV, 3 days at BWV and the final 4 at BLT. This way we could best take advantage of WDW transportation. In our 5 trips we haven't used WDW transportation, other then the monorail and the boat from TTC to MK, we have yet to use the buses( not sure why:confused3). We sat at a bus stop at POP one morning to go to BB but we decided it would be quicker to drive.

So, DW is excited that it only took us 6 years to join DVC:confused:. We always thought is was way too expensive. And it's really not to bad:rolleyes1. We kept calling DVC to get new DVD's:rolleyes1(like many of you out there who have a WDW video collection for the parks:rolleyes1) Don't judge me LOL Well be bought into AKV on, believe it or not, April fools day:idea:. We watched the online presentation some 5 or 6 times and DW just said one day "we can afford it" so we bought in. DW's mom thinks that DVC is like a normal "your stuck with this one week ever year timeshare". Boy is she in for a surprise.

Well DW is busy with both work and college. And she needs this vacation more then anyone. So I am planning to get the most out of this trip as possible. We are planning to go in Dec when her "winter break" from school happens. We have done trips in July:scared1: October:thumbsup2 November:love: and 2 in December:worship:. We both seem to love December and Christmas. Well, our last trip was will all family member's and our DIS friends that we met in here back in early 2004 when we went on a 7 nite eastern cruise on the Magic.

This past trip was for Christmas. We had a blast!! Great meals and wonderful times!! Lot's of magic on that trip!! It was our first time at a moderate resort. We really enjoyed POR. But our heart will always be at Pop Century:love: Now we have DVC:woohoo:. I hope you will continue to follow along and discover how our plans play out, tomorrow comes early.

I have combined both a PTR with a TR so I could combine to make it easier for all to find. Please enjoy both reports and if you can, tell me what you think. Thanks for reading and lurking!!

I LOVE adult trips...I love family trips....I love ALL the DVC trips!! :thumbsup2 Sounds like fun! I'm subbing....

:) DH and I do not have children so we always do Disney child free. I am sure there are many poistives and a few negatives with not bringing the kids. So who are youleaving behind? We love Pop, too and bought at AKV last year. We are going to stay 12/01-12/10 this year. Our first night though will be at Pop, due to our recent decision to take an evening flight--so we are going a day before our DVC trip.

Count me in--subbing now!:yay:

We enjoy WDW when it is "Just the two of Us" and when it is the 7 of us!

I'm in too. Dh and I did an adults only 3 nights when I was pregnant with dd3. It was also one of the best things we ever did.
We are planning another trip for this Jan for he and I. Can't wait. WDW is so much fun as adults.

Hope you have a great time.

My DH and I are on our second child free trip this year. Have fun planning, but then again this trip, we're sort of going along day by day.

Count me in!

With the exception of when I myself was a child, all of my trips have been adults only too. :) DH and I can't have kids, but that allows us plenty of Dec. travel time, when the kids are in school! ;) We'll also be there Nov 30 - Dec 10 this year with our roommate and my dad!

Can't wait to see what your PTR has in store! I've enjoyed many of your other posts before, so I'm excited to follow along on this one :) (My hasband has "that" shirt - a few of them - guess who bought them for him?:thumbsup2)

Dh and I have been empty nesters for 12 years now and we love our adult only trips. We enjoyed our family trips too, but have just as much fun by ourselves and/or with friends.

DH and I are going on an adult's only trip this October - our first trip as DVC members. We are so excited. We were just sent the map showing the course for the F&W 1/2 marathon. Can't wait to run in the parks. We have great dinner reservations and can spend time just relaxing at the resort. We're not that mean though - we're taking the kids over Spring Break and staying in a THV. Can't wait for that either. Two DW vacations booked - what else can a girl ask for?:thumbsup2

If your prior experience was at value resorts, no wonder you hate the buses. Try them at akv, you'll like them.

My Dh and I are going for the first time since have kids in October to celebrate our 18th anniversary and are so excited to take our time and smell the roses at the parks and have a meal that we can truly enjoy ,come June the 8 of us will go again and it will be fun to show the kids the things that we saw that we miss when we are all together.:woohoo::banana::yay:

We have gone just the two of us and had a wonderful time, with a 7 year old and had a wonderful time, and with our grown daughter and had a wonderful time. I think that's what's so great about WDW - it really is a great vacation for everyone. Next week DH and I are going with our 30 year old daughter for 5 days and then 5 days just the two of us. There's plenty to do for all 10 days and we're all bouncing off the walls excited!

Looking forward to your TR.popcorn::

We love our family trips but adults-only ones are so nice. DH and I went twice last year ( 3 nights in March and 3 in December). It was nice to take things at our pace whether that meant racing from ride to ride or strolling through the parks and resorts taking it all in. Fun for us to take a turn at being the kids.

Sounds like a great vacation-will be looking forward to your trip report! :) Reading other people's reports inspire me to try new resorts or to get excited about where I'll stay next time.

My DH and I don't have kids so like a pp, our trips are always kid free. Our very first trip ever we went with my best friend and her family and had a blast but found the whole "commando" thing a bit much for us. We're pretty laid back and relaxed types. We didn't own DVC then but believe me, that was the trip that started it all! Every trip since our owning has been so relaxed I think BECAUSE we own DVC, it's not a must see it all and do it all now..we'll be back! Can't wait for your TR...all signed up!

If your prior experience was at value resorts, no wonder you hate the buses. Try them at akv, you'll like them.

Hello fellow PA'r! Couldn't agree with you more, I think the buses at akv are great! We never have problems getting them and they are always direct (with the exception of the Jambo House). Now considering we've only stayed at our home (AKV) I don't really have anything to compare it to. Maybe I'm just biased!

DH and I took our first Disney trip last year without the kids. It was great. No rushing, no staying at the parks all day and or all nite. We were able to get up late, eat breakfast if we wanted, go to a park on a few rides, back to the pool and drinks by the pool. The kids came in Jan and May of this year, but DH and I are going again in Oct by ourselves and then again in Feb for a week by ourselves. Looking forward to your trip report.

Last August DH and I went without our kids but we did travel with my brother and his family so it might not officially count, lol.

We are going next week again with my brother and his family but this time we will take my dd.

Our first "official" adult only trip will be in October (hopefully no medical emergencies here).

Looking forward to it and looking forward to reading yours too of course. :)

It's funny how everyone is laid back and doesn't go commando without the kids. When dh and I went, we had a couple of days where we went from morning to night going to all 4 parks. And that was with me being 6m pregnant. It was so much fun being able to go from ride to ride without dragging the kids around. Granted we also had a bit of relaxing by the pool for short times and some nice quiet dinners, but we liked being commando's not having to worry about naps and overwhelming the kids.
