Fifty Nifty United States - everybody know the song?

I learned it in 2nd grade. Great song!!! Forgot the rest of the song since then, but can still recite the 50 states in alphabetical order, but I must sing them too.

My oldest DS learned it in the third grade for the schools recital. His entire class sang it , along with another and they each were assigned a state. They had to draw a picture of the state and hold it up as their state was called. When he started at his new school in November, his teacher was very surprised he could name all the states in alphabetical order.

I remember this song from "The Perry Como Show", in the late 50's or early 60's. Each week a different state would be highlighted. I remember that the first state highlighted was Delaware, the first state. (The things that stay in our memories!!!)

I'd never heard it before a class in dd5's preschool graduation sang it. They sang it slow & then real fast. Very cute!
