I got an email yesterday offering up to 35% off rooms and free dinners - no code. Pretty cool (minimum 4 night stay). Guess we are trying Aulani next winter.


We have a partial ocean view. Can someone please give me an honest assessment of what they mean by that?

We had a partial ocean view on the 6th floor of Wainae Tower. Aulani is shaped like a U, our room was on the inside of the U. The ends of the towers will offer full ocean views. Here is a pic of our view.

On our first trip to Aulani we booked a standard view hotel room for part of our stay (DVC points for the balance of it) and we were upgraded to a partial ocean view which looked like this

I think it could also be breakfast or lunch. Looking at the selection now, breakfast might be the better option.

The winter offer for arrival dates of 1/2/17 - 3/24/17 on the website might be the same as the one you received in your email- up to 35% on ocean view rooms if you stay 5+ nights or up to 30% on 4 consecutive nights. There is a savings of 20-35% depending on the amount of nights you stay on other view types. The offer also includes 1 free meal per night/person at the Ulu Café for either breakfast, lunch or dinner (which is a quick service café). The partial ocean view room you booked would have either a 25% or 30% discount depending on whether you stay 4 or 5 nights.

Also the offer is as was previously mentioned for an early booking - book by October 3, 2016.

A partial ocean view depends on which side of the tower your standard room faces - meaning when you stand on the balcony if you look left or right you would see a partial view of the ocean. Hope you enjoy your stay!
