I am going to Disney on Saturday for a week. I had a few questions and figured you guys could answer them here.

Is there any way to get the Extra Magic Hours if we are not staying at a disney resort? I am staying at a resort that is not owned by Disney, therefore we do not get the extra hours.

Is the Star Wars recommended to go to or is it just more crowded with characters?

Should you get there on time at Hollywood Studios and go to Toy Story Mania immediately or will there be a long line? Same thing goes for Simpsons rides.

And if anyone else has any tips, thanks they'll be appreciated. It is our first time in 4 years. We've been to Disneyland and California Adventure but it doesn't compare.

:welcome: to the DIS!

There are only four non-Disney resorts that are eligible for EMH:
  1. Shades of Green
  2. The Swan
  3. The Dolphin
  4. The Hilton Orlando Resort at Downtown Disney
If you're not staying at one of those resorts, you are not eligible for EMH.

If you or your family is into Star Wars, then Star Wars Weekends are definitely worth attending. But DHS is always more crowded during those days, so you might want to think about visiting it on a non-weekend day.

Toy Story Mania is extremely popular right now. Definitely head straight for it immediately after park opening. Get in line if it's not too long, otherwise grab a FastPass and come back later.

I can't help you with The Simpsons Ride. It's at Universal, and I don't know a lot about that park. :)
