Few firsts, friends & H. P. an Oct. TR - New 3/4 - THE END...

This guy who must be the Soarin' police came in and complained that we were all seated from the first seat instead of the last. Hey buddy not my fault.

When we got off we ended up behind the guy and he was still complaining.

We then ran into the same people again walking towards World Showcase. Still complaining and so I said "Go talk to the supervisor of the ride". Never heard another word again. I mean seriously you're that upset over it.

Can't imagine being so upset over something so petty. :sad2:

Nice fountain pictures. :)

I've heard such mixed reviews on Coral Reef, which is why we've never tried it. Too bad about the complainer on Soarin'. :sad2:

Sorry about Coral Reef. I think it has its good days and bad days cause the last time I was there I got Mahi Mahi for the first time and it was awesome! Some people let the smallest thing ruin their whole day! :confused3
Universe of Energy is long but I love Ellen so its always a must do! Plus its a good time to take a break! :thumbsup2

sorry you didnt like the lunch, i have read both good and bad things there, not sure if we will eat there sometime or not.

and i never catch that show from the beginning, the guy is always up on the top chair when i come across it.

I could not either but this man was really upset over it. I just looked at Vinny confused.
Thank you.

I was upset over the meal because last time was so good. The first time we got there at 11:30 for lunch and this time we had a 2pm adr. Not sure if that matters but maybe it does.
He was odd to keep going on. and on.

I agree. Some restaurants r excellent one trip and then another it is not. Maybe different cooks. :confused3
They do. Not me I just go with the flow. :lmao:
It is long but I did enjoy it and will definitely do it again.

We will try it again maybe n 2012 in October when we go down.
I think I caught it once before but was like you and he was up on top.

I have many times. We used to go every Columbus Day weekend when I was a kid. I rode all 3 of them.

Did u ever go into The House of Frankenstein? The 1st time I ran out I was so scared. :rotfl2:

I have never gone into The House of Frankenstein. I will have to check it out the next time I go. I live about 2 and a 1/2 hours away. My family would alternate vacations to Lake George and Maine every summer when I was a kid. Haven't been in a couple of years. Use to love the Great Escape. That park was awsome when I was a kid. I can't wait to have a Grey Goose slushie in 6 days.

Lucky you. have one for me too.

Our last day has come. But we have one place to tackle and a breakfast to get through before leaving.
We grabbed our bags and went to bring them to luggage services. After that we went to get a cab. The nice lady at the desk outside called for us.

I liked the signs a few years back "Where dreams come true" better.
Someone was being picked up.

He was ready for breakfast.
Disney20101018.jpg

We both had the Big Kahuna. So good. I had the lilikoi juice, delicious. We also got a press pot. This was a good meal.

The bill would have been $37.95

After the meal we walked over to the gift shop across the way.

So far the last day is turning out great.

Up next

Quick run and get fastpasses, oops

Yay, I'm back and all caught up!

I love the Poly! :lovestruc It's my favorite resort. Unfortunately, it's just not typically in my budget. Kona is a great place for breakfast.

I'm sorry that you were disappointed in the Coral Reef. The last time I ate there, it was a bit disappointing too. I haven't been back since because of it.

The last day is always so sad. I'm always having mixed emotions. I'm ready to go home, because I love home, but I don't like having to go back to work! :rotfl:

So how was it?
Not sure if I would stay there but I do like to visit.
Work stinks. I have been off for 3 days for my tooth but tomorrow I go back.

The last day :sad2:
Why does it have to end?
The Poly is such a beautiful resort. Kona has the best breakfast.

We love Kona; we have an ADR for dinner in May. The Poly is so beautiful I love just sitting in the lobby and taking it all in.

Love the picture of Vinny with the Goofy ears!
We are going to Kona for the first time in October and I can't decide if I want to try the Big Kahuna or the Tonga Toast! :confused3

It is pretty there. It is very good.

Big Kahuna. Or have someone else order the opposite and split.

:scared1:OMG how did I miss so many updates, I am so very bad.
First off, the Dolphin, made my heart go pitty pat. It really is a great hotel and I can't say enough good things about the place. They have some incredible deals if you check on their website, I know you are DVC now, but if you know someone who isn't they have on occasion fantastic prices. They also offer AP discounts. This last Christmas that had Santa and his HO, not MRS.Claus. A hohoho in short shorts roasting his nuts, chestnuts:rotfl2: Each night they had free cupcakes, hot coco, cider, cookies. Mrs. Clause would appear by herself. Don't know if they have an open relationship but, something was going on with them.

Sorry you did not like your meal at Coral Reef, we had a great meal there in december. It depends on who is in the kitchen I think.

Put-put, I have never played, Vinny seemed to enjoy himself.

And what a jerk on Soarin, don't you just want to say " just shut up and sit down " Some people are always looking for something to complain about.

Glad you did get to put him in his place at WS, I would have paid cash money to hear that:lmao:

And breakfast at the Poly, one day I will do that, with WDW there is always something you have never done, something for your next trip.
Great update and hope you are all healed up.

Shame on you. :rotfl2:
I would like to try staying there one time and see it. That is funny about Santa and helper. I would have been hysterical.
I do agree it depends on the people in the kitchen, our previous meal was delicious.
You should try mini golf, it is lots of fun.
I could not believe how much it bothered him. I wonder if he wrote a letter when he got home.
You should try the breakfast there, so good. I think October I will take Vinny to 'Ohanas for breakfast.

I agree, and I really want to stay there someday. :)

I agree, and I really want to retire someday. :upsidedow

But, work pays for Disney trips, so I keep that in mind.
As a matter of fact, I often mumble to myself 'work pays for Disney trips' when things get ridiculous.
:thumbsup2
It does pay for the trips. :lmao: I picture you saying like the 7 dwarves "hi ho, hi ho it's off to work I go. I must pay for the trips hi-ho, hi-ho" :lmao: it was a nice image. :)
U will be there so soon. Can't wait to read about it.

If anyone has not read any of MeMoms reports click the links in her siggie. The photos she takes rt so great so different.

Woohoo I get a shoutout!! :cool1::cool1:

Dry no more.
Disney2010962.jpg
Could you really get wet?? It might be nice in the sweltering heat of August...

Neither of us enjoyed the meal. The first time was excellent in Dec. 2008 this time not so much. Guess it really depends on the cooks. It is off the list at least for this year.
Yeah, that's what we thought. :sad2:

oops!!! I missed a few updates!! :sad2:

I stayed at Kidani in October. It was really great! The 1 br was so spacious!! It had 2 full bathrooms! The living area had a pullout sofa & pullout chair. We were a party of 4 women so it was great! The pool area was very nice too!! The only bad thing was that there was no restaurant or CS there. You had to take the transport to Jambo. However, that really wasn't that much of an inconvenience.

Oh....the Swan!! We're staying there in a few weeks!! Same group of DISERS!! I love those Swan paddle boats! We've got to try those!!!
OMG.....Vinny beat you at miniature golf!! :rotfl: Don't worry, we shall never speak of it again! :rotfl:
I think Coral Reef is a hit or miss meal. Sometimes it's very good & others......well you know.

Last day.....it came so fast!! :sad2: KONA!!! I love the Tonga Toast!!! The Poly is a beautiful resort! I still have NOT had that Lapu Lapu!! I have got to change that!
Loved the Goofy hat on Vinny!! :thumbsup2
