I'm hearing 3 different stories about this.
1) The theatre will be down for Sept. to be enclosed.
2) The theatre will be down for Oct. to be enclosed.
3) The theatre enclosure/rehab has been removed from the schedule. (should be noted it does not appear on Disney's Official list.)

What is fact and what is fiction? Any CM's out there with the info about what the real situation is?

There is a CM that posts here that says it's going to be down starting Aug. 24. I don't remember the end date.

The end date as of right now is September 19. This is, of course, subject to change.

It still hasnt been posted on Disneys site. Is there any hope?

I am going on Aug. 24th - so this means no Lion King for us?! We were soooo looking forward to this! :(

The minor work has already begun. The theater is in quite a state right now. I really don't see them postponing it now.

Pyedog, The show at the MK has already been taken out. Its location is where the new "Mickey's Philharmagic" is going in.

Hopefully, the Philharmagic show will be open this fall.

I hope The Festival of the Lion King is back up by November. This will be our first trip to WDW and we are so looking forward to seeing this. We are not going to have enough time to visit the Animal Kingdom this time, but we were planning on swinging by just to see the Lion King.

I believe it is supposed to open back up Sept. 19. I can't wait, right now they have huge fans in the theatre that make it hard to hear the show at times.
