Festival of the lion king rehab??

i read on the net that from Aug24-sept.19 the festival of the lion king will be closed to enclose the theater???

Yes, but after the enclosure the theater will be climate controlled and guests will finally get to enjoy the lighting effects that are missed with the open theater.

Aug 24 is the beginning of the value season. FL schools are back in session and the crowds are lighter. I assume they are trying to get the construction done by Columbus Day.

It may be bad timing for some, but this is going to be a great imporvement. There is just no airflow the way the building is currently constructed. This is going to make the best show on property, even more enjoyable.

Will they be changing the seating any as well? I understand the seating is meant to be in a way to get everyone involved in the show, etc, but I have to admit I have a hard time seeing when I am in the back rows.

I guess I will have to see it on August 23rd... any news on what the last show will be that day? I will make a point to do it on the 23rd, but would like to know the show schedule for that day...

The 23rd is the last day for Spectro (in my time frame), the last LK show...

That is true, the lighting effects will be tremendous when it is finished.

Currently the showtimes for that time are listed as:

9:50, 11:00, 12:00, 1:45, 2:45, 3:45, 4:45

They recently extended the hours for the rest of this month, so they may just go ahead and extend the entire summer hours which might make the showtimes:

9:50, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:45.

I think they closed the show down so they can start construction on Mickey's PhilHarMagic.

"LEGEND" of the Lion King is the MK show that closed to make way for Mickey's Philharmagic.

"FESTIVAL" of the Lion King is the AK show, that will be going down for rehab at the end of August.
