Festival of the Lion King cancelled after show started?

My Dad just messaged me from Animal Kingdom, apparently him and his neighbor are in the park today and went to the Festival of the Lion King show. I guess three minutes into the show there was an announcement stating that everyone needed to leave the theater and the show had been cancelled. He wanted me to try to find out what was up.

I'm guessing a last minute injury to a cast member or one of the floats not moving is most likely?

You are correct, Show can be delayed or cancelled for many reasons, the most common being technical or cast related.

We are in AK now. This happened to 11:00 show. We saw the 12:00 show and it went perfectly.

As I work in theatre, these things can happen no matter the show. We have had the lift malfunction which meant clearing the stage, we have had last minute emergencies with cast members, and other things and I have only been there for 2 seasons! It is a part of live theatre.
