Festival of The Arts worth it?

Our first day in the parks will be Saturday 2/20. We usually do park hoppers but have decided to go single park tickets this time. Currently I have EPCOT scheduled for Wednesday 2/24, but last day for Festival of The Arts is Monday 2/22. We can switch our EPCOT day to Sunday 2/21, but it would call for a total park reschedule for the rest of our days there.

In your opinion, is it worth rescheduling everything to make sure we can experience Festival of the Arts?

I have been. I know I’m going to get some flack but it’s just my opinion. I enjoy viewing art and prefer to see it in museums. If I am going to purchase art, this has not proven the venue for me even though I love Disney. So in my opinion, nah.

It’s my personal favorite of the festivals but honestly unless there is something by one of the artists or in one of the food booths that tickles your fancy it’s not worth overhauling plans for

I would say it's worth it. There is so much that has been taken away from World Showcase bc of COVID that without a festival going on it seems shuttered with all the empty kiosks.

For me the Voices of Liberty singing Disney songs alone is worth the trip. I also like looking at the performers inside World Showplace, Carol the pianist from Rose and Crown and the Comedy Warehouse performs almost every day along with the defy gravity performers. I love looking at the chalk art and taking fun pics with the 3D chalk art and the food is really good and beautifully presented

I agree with a couple of the comments above. The Voices of Liberty makes it worthwhile, and I don't see much value in the art presented for sale in the booths. It almost reminds me of what I don't like most about what they're calling "farmer's markets" these days, that they sell more soap and candles than vegetables: Festival of the Arts seems to me to be far too much selling of the same old prints and such and far too little actual real original art being presented in the same way food and wine is presented in the fall and flowers and plants are presented in the spring.

I'd like to reply to two things in your original post.
I was there for opening day of FARTS and it was also my 1st time ever attending. I loved it. It was different than the other Epcot festivals. I only got the one day there but it wasn't enough. I needed a second day for sure. I missed voices and I feel like those tents had so much so see and of course the food was very good. So I personally am very glad I got to go the day before we had to leave.
Also we are like you, we always do hoppers or an AP. This trip we were there for the first 10 days in January and did not get hoppers mostly due to them just coming back and not knowing just how effective they would be. I hated it. I will never ever do only the 1 park a day thing. We are on the go people and are used to getting to the parks early, leaving in the afternoon and then heading to a different one for the night. I did not enjoys the feeling of being in the same park all day. Let me explain my main rational. This trip we did 3 days at MK, 3 at H/S, 2 AK and 2 Epcot. It felt like we weren't in each park very much even though this time it was for whole days. If we had hoppers, in 10 days I probably would of been in the same parks double the amount of times if that makes sense? I know the total hours are the same but it's a whole different feel with hoppers than without. Just my 2 cents, I'd get the hoppers if you can and go see Farts.

While I admit seeing the Voices of Liberty singing Disney songs would be cool and I do usually snack at food booths during Festivals, but otherwise, no, I do not think the Festival of Arts is worth it unless you are VERY into buying Disney art. This was going on during my LAST trip to Disney - a year ago today - and I "embraced" most of the free activities during the Festival - to see if it really held my attention - and it just didn't. Now - it was my last of several trips in one AP year - so maybe I was bored with Epcot in the first place????

I suspect Epcot will be pretty quiet on Wed the 24th - and you could enjoy the light crowds.

We’ve not been to FotA but to me, besides the art, the artistic food would be a big draw. I would for sure try to reschedule some things. The only thing that might give me pause is if it meant I couldn’t get the number of HS days we wanted (for ROTR attempts).

I was at the Festival of the Arts last Saturday night and it was very crowded. We hit a few food booths but otherwise felt that it wasn't that special. If you keep your Epcot day of Wednesday, 2/24 then you will find Epcot to be a lot less crowded, especially since there won't be a festival to draw the crowds. If it was me I would avoid Epcot on the weekend.

I have never been to the Festival of the Arts, but would very much like to visit it some time. One of these days I'll make it happen.

We are planning a special trip the end of this month just to do it and we are coming from California.

My question for you is will there be enough to do at EPCOT without the festival to spend a day there?

We’ve done all of the Epcot Festivals and Festival of the Arts is the favourite of both my daughter and I!!

It's my favorite festival but NOT on a weekend. We couldn't even get close to the art to see it a couple weekends ago, much less stay at a safe distance, and left. Weekdays when I can actually see the art and artists? Find a 6 ft spot of sidewalk to eat the dish I just got at a booth? I'm all over it.

The difference in crowds on the weekends is night and day.

I was in Epcot several times on my most recent trip. The only truly enjoyable time in Epcot was when we got there right as it opened and entered through the International Gateway. Every time we were there in the evening we just dodged people in the World Showcase and it felt crowded.

And maybe it's just me (and my friend that I traveled with) but the drinking still felt out of hand. At 5 PM on a Saturday, there were people who were already drunk and you could SMELL the beer on them when you passed through a mask. That just isn't my idea of relaxing nor fun
