Do the stands have the same menu every year or do they change it up?

As the PP said, last year was the first year. My guess is that there will be a mix of new items and returning items (if the item was popular, it'll probably be back; if it didn't sell well, it probably won't be back :rotfl:). Hopefully the Parks Blog will have a listing of the food booth items soon or Disneyland.com will post the menus.

Weren't some of the stands in DTD a couple years ago? Anyone know if those will be back this year?

Oh! I thought maybe it was the second or third year. I guess we'll all see together! :rotfl:Thanks!

I recall the Winter Village that they used to have when there was an ice skating rink set up near ESPN. I don't recall there being much food offered; they did have little kiosks that sold merchandise and things (I think Ghiradelli was there, along with Arribas Brothers and some other DTD vendors). I haven't seen the Winter Village mentioned in any of the info for the 2017 Holiday season, so I'm doubtful it'll be back.

Yes I remember more hot drinks and treats, not so much food. I do rememrber ghirardelli. The kids got hot cocoa and we got coffee. And I remember some baked goods/pastries. The rest of the carts had things like scarfs, jewelry, etc. but was really cute. Reminded me somewhat of the christmas markets in Germany.

The winter village was set up for the last 2/3 years in the area that will become the new hotel. Depending on when they start staging for construction, we might not see it come back this year.

I thought they had already largely forgone the Winter Village last year, when they moved the security check points to the edges of DTD. I recall there being a tree and some miscellaneous decorations down by Earl of Sandwich/AMC, plus the DTD Live stage, but no winter village per se.

That's what I remember too. I wasn't there, but I think I remember chatter on here about the winter village being missing. Between the new security checkpoints and the eventual hotel construction, I'm guessing it's a thing of the past.

The ice rink was not back last year and all they had was a stage area and some decor. Ghiradelli had a store front and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t any kind of village set out like in years past (sad because it was SO cute!!). I’m guessing it might be similar this year or even less as when we were there they were setting up the new security stuff and the stage/decor still fit inside that area. Although I fear with the new hotel you guys are right and it’ll all be gone next year- DTD seems to be shrinking rapidly to nothing now ☹️

That is sad. Last year we went earlier than usual(around Dec 8th), so I thought they just hadn't finished setting up yet. Because the previous year felt like the Christmas markets in Germany that I love going to(but haven't been for a few years)

Does that sign’s subtext read “decadently delicious sides take a starring role”? My vision isn’t as great as it used to be.

Yes, under Festive Holiday Extras that's what it says. Under the Grandma's Recipes I think I make out "Tantalizing Tastes Shared from Generation to Generation".

There were more kiosks out, but I was heading to an event at the Grand Californian and didn't have a chance to take pics. I'll probably stop by again later this week, and I'll try to pics of all of them then.

Looking at the list from last year on the food blog, Winter Sliderland was there, but the other two (Grandma's Recipes and Festive Holiday Extras) are new. So exciting!!

We had a couple of the sliders from Winter Sliderland last year. There was a turkey one with cranberry sauce and another one that we tried. I think the other one was a pulled pork something. I'll see if I can find pics. Both were good. I preferred one and my mom preferred the other.
