Festival of Holidays aka Food and Wine

Almost all the reviews I've seen say the prices are too high. I bet prices will come down pretty soon if business doesn't pick up.

We were here all weekend for the runs and several times we went to DCA. The parks were packed but there were no lines at any of the food booths, only the beer one. :)

I wanted to try several things but we had dining reservations already so we'll wait until we go back in Dec. All the yummies at the Treats for Santa booth look so good.

Do you happen to remember what beers they have?

I don't. I know they had at least 6 at one booth, with other booths having one or two each. I think 2 booths had flights... I didn't pay too much attention since we weren't getting any. They had something from Stone, Bootlegger's, Spaten, 21st Amendment, Karl Strauss, those are the breweries I can think of right now but I don't know what specific beers they were and I know there were more than that.

That helps! Thank you!

We are beer snobs with tons of breweries near us and when I didn't see anything that I'd never had before, we didn't make it a priority. :) I think the Karl Strauss was one of their holiday series which I generally like. I think the Stone might have been Coffee Milk Stout, also pretty good. I don't remember what Bootlegger's had, might have been an IPA.

Oh! me too! I sent it to my husband we are going in a couple weeks and we love to get beer and wait in a line makes it much more enjoyable.
I really want to try the blood orange and the 7 sharks!

Absolutely! Since we can't get there until late tomorrow night my plan is to get into DCA before sales stop. Grab a beer and head to Tower! :drinking1

Also, I found this blog post with a map that helps you know where the kiosks are located:

You're welcome. I'm a beer fan too!

Ok so the only beer I tried was the Bottle Logic Brewing Tattered Prince. Really enjoyed it! In hindsight I should have gotten a sampler so I could try more. I intended to go back and get a couple more glasses but it just didn't happen with the rain on Sunday.

My mom had both sliders from the winter sliderland. The pork was better than the turkey, though both were good. I had the Adobo pork bao and mint milk tea from Good Fortunes Feast. Both were delish! Also good was the Curry from spice salutations...very mild in terms of heat.

We sadly didn't try any of the beers we planned on trying! When we got in the park late it was almost 9 Friday night and we needed to buy before they stop serving. Everything at the festival had lines so we headed to Flo's for the Grand Am Pale Ale & Racer 5 IPA. No line there!
