Am I too late to catch a FP+ for the 3:00 parade on May 23? My daughter is marching, and I've been watching at the 60-day and 30-day marks. And now only two weeks away I'm growing concerned. Did I miss it?

I've searched this and can't find a definitive answer. Any insights would be appreciated. Red

I was able to get FP+ for that day already. I think I booked them a week ago or so?

The problem with that day is it's the day of the 24 hour event, so it will be a very busy day at the parks. Chances are the parade will be a bit popular to do that afternoon. I wouldn't say there is no chance you will be able to get a FP+ for it, but you will need to just keep checking to see if someone cancels their FP or if WDW opens up more FP+ for it. I could be mistaken also, but I *think* they are doing the parade twice that day, 12noon and 3:30, so that would give you twice as much chance of getting one. Anyways, good luck to you! :thumbsup2

P.S. If you don't get a FP+, I recommend trying to get a spot near Liberty Tree Tavern/Diamond Horseshoe. It's usually not as busy and the parade starts near there, too.

Thanks very much for your response.

If you are talking about HS marching bands, they will step off between 20 and 25 minutes before the parade, at about 2 minute intervals (depending on how many there are but not more than 3) from the Frontierland gate.

FP parade area opens to passholders "early" when there are guest bands to be sure the street area of the HUB is clear, so be aware of that if you get a FP. Otherwise, just try to get a spot anywhere on the parade route for viewing guest bands.

Yes it will be her HS band. And this is very good info, thanks for taking the time. Is it really 20-25 minutes before the parade?

Yes, if the parade was at 3:00 (for example), the first HS guest band would step of at between 2:35 and 2:40 (used to always be 2:35 but they've starting going a bit later this year) with approximately 2 minute intervals between, if more than one, never more than 3. Main St. Philharmonic would step off at 2:45, the parade Grand Marshall at 2:50, then parade at 3:00.

If double day parades that day (I haven't seen, or even looked for, our work schedules for that day yet), then just back up the times from the parade step off time.
