Ok, so my DD 3 loves Elsa and Aurora. It is such a shame that they have Maleficent and the fairies but no Aurora in the parade! I Was thinking of ending our day with the parade (FP parade seating) and then early dinner at Tony's before heading back to the hotel (DD does not nap but I'm sure will be done for the day at this point).
So..for those of you with toddlers, have you found the parade to be worth the time and energy? We plan on doing FP meet and greets with princesses, and hopefully (If we can get it) a meal at CRT so she will have had her princess fix.
Or, should we just take an afternoon break at the hotel after quick service lunch and a few rides, then maybe return to MK for dinner and shopping?

Definitely still worth seeing. It's an awesome parade.

But keep in mind things happen, and although the Fairies typically are part of the parade, the day we were there they were not (I'm assuming because the weather looked threatening).

Yeah. I'm a fully grown adult with no interest in watching a parade and this parade stopped me in my tracks. It's really good.

Oh, absolutely! Festival of Fantasy is WONDERFUL! It's my favorite parade! We did the FP+ last trip and it was so worth it. There were character coming right up to my sister and I.

I also think it's worth seeing the FoF parade! The fire breathing dragon is very cool.

Anna and Elsa are in the parade, so at least one of your DD's favorite characters will be in it. It also features Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Merida, Snow White, Alice, and Rapunzel.

My daughter loooved all the dancing and costumes. So many fun things to look at at that age

Right, I usually don't like any parades besides MSEP but we saw Fof this time and thought it was fun and well done

If you get FP+ for the parade I suggest bringing an umbrella or something else to block the sun. I got sunburn on the tops of my feet and remember being sooo envious of the people across the street from us sitting in the shade. That being said, FOF is awesome and I absolutely would not miss it.

Just a note: if you have a FP+ for the parade, there isn't seating (unless something has changed recently). You are reserving space in a standing area. Not sure if that affects your thoughts on it. It's a great parade! :)

I read in the Unofficial Guide that Aurora was kicked out of the new parade because of Frozen's popularity.
I always wondered why Aurora wasn't added to the part of Fairies, Phillip & Maleficent.
(Probably because Phillip cannot fight a dragon and dance romantically with a princess at the same time, but who knows Disney princes are remarkable men!)

This is a wonderful parade. I don't think that any parade is worth seeing if you only arre watching for one character, they are so much more than that. I understand the question though, but want you to understand that Disney Parades are a compilation of all that Disney has to offer. Each float is a snapshot of an aspect of what you experience throughout the parks, and in between there is constant entertainment with so many of Disney entertainers and characters. I imagine that a child would be enchanted, as was my DGD.

WE are conflicted with the parade this year, It is at 3PM and several members of my group do not do well in the heat, so we may need to skip this one. I hate missing parades!

Is this a serious question? :earsboy: We generally never bother with the parades. This one is an absolute exception to that. Probably the best parade Disney has ever done. It's awesome. Really.
