My family and I will be at MK during Spring Break--high crowd season! We want to watch the Festival of Fantasy parade because we missed it last year. I'm trying to decide where to watch it and what to do directly after it. We are rope droppers and EMH goers, so we probably won't have much stamina after the parade. Will probably leave the parks for good by 5 pm. Where would you watch it and what else might you try to do before leaving?

It begins in Frontierland near Splash Mtn.
I'd watch from somewhere back there, or from a spot near Hall of Presidents.

As for what to do afterwards on a very, very busy day...

No matter what I tell you, it will likely be, well, very busy.

You can go to a FP+ kiosk and check for any FP+ that might fit your timing.

Have you thought about getting FP+ for the parade, then you will get a great reserved place to watch the parade.

Capture.PNG We usually sit right here. Its a nice spot for the parade and we can take turns going into country bears while some one holds the spots.

And there is a frozen lemonade stand right across from you for the really hot days

During March the fastpass viewing area is town square. how is that location?

It is a fine viewing location.
(It is in the very center of Town Square, where the MK flagpole is located.)
But, if the weather is hot, that area is in direct sunlight.

We had a FP+ for that spot, but chose to view elsewhere in the area due to the lack of any shade.

Thank you for the help. What are some good shaded locations? How is the heat in March?

Thank you for the help.

1. What are some good shaded locations?

2. How is the heat in March?

1. You'll see them.
You want the buildings and/or trees between you and the sun.
The sun will be to the west (Main Street runs north and south, with the castle at the north end)
so you want to not face west.

2. HERE are the average (and last year's) temperatures for the Orlando area.

HERE are the relative humidity averages for the Orlando area.

HERE is the Orlando monthly average rainfall.
