Where does the parade start and end? I would like to view the parade from the Frontierland area. Where is the best viewing area and how soon do you have to park to get a spot (this will be late February when we are there). TIA!

A look at the MK Parade Route-

Disney's (MS) Electrical Parade starts near the Firehouse and exits near Splash Mtn.

The 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) and both the MVMCP and MNSSHP parades start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.

Be in position deep in Frontierland by 2:30PM.

If you can time it right, there's a crossover from the Tiki Bird/Magic Carpet area to Country Bear Hall. Last summer, we were able to slip through the crossover and into the Country Bear stroller parking area just as the 3 pm parade was approaching.

The kids got front row with a less than 30 second wait. Not too bad.

We did something similar we were running late-ish for getting a spot crossed from the Liberty Belle type area over towards the popcorn cart that is near the Liberty Bell - ended up standing in a little area in front of the popcorn cart (it is taped off ) and watched the parade from there (don't worry people could still stand in line for their popcorn). It was a great spot!

I always try to watch the 3pm parade as it begins by Splash Mountain. Then when it passes the lines are usually short for pirates and jungle cruise since everyone else is still waiting for the parade to pass. If you want to go to fantasyland after then watch somewhere close to the riverboat.

That map is interesting. I knew where the entrance and exits for the public section of the parade were, but I had no idea how far out the backstage loop went. Do the characters have to walk that, or do trams or something take them back to the beginning?

Except at Christmas time, each parade only runs once a day, so there really wouldn't be a need for the performers to get back to the beginning of the parade route. But even when a parade does run twice, I would imagine that the performers just use the utilidors - I would assume that's a shorter route then the backstage loop.

We managed to get a fairly decent view from the outdoor seating at Pecos Bill's last week...and only minutes before the parade started.

The Electrical Parade runs twice per night throughout the summer.

Their things need to get back to the beginning. Props, etc... I presume the stuff they wear in the parade are totally different than the things they were for standard M&G's, etc...

They run the Christmas Parade twice per day (12:30 and 3:30) starting the day after the last MVMCP.
(It's just not up on the calendar yet.)

OP - on Robo's map look at the word Hall of Presidents > We sat right about the "s>" and it was great, we could see (and take awesome photos) of the front of everything as it came towards the area and then again from the side as it passed by us, it made for a very unique type of view esp if you are interested in taking photos. I think we got there about 15 minutes early for the parade on Oct 3rd

I know this is an old thread, but I'm trying to figure out approximately what time the parade passes by the Hall of President's area. We have a 2:15 lunch reservation at BOG on our only day in MK and I'm trying to figure out what the latest time to get over there would be (if there turns out to even be a chance of seeing some of it). I've never seen it and would especially like to catch a glimpse of the dragon if possible. Which brings me to another question, in what order do the floats appear?

Would that area be the closest to try to get to from the BOG restaurant?

Thanks!

1. Start of parade reaches there by about 3:12. End of parade at HoP about 3:25.
2. Doable.

the dragon is hight enough up ( and especially when he breathes fire) that you do not have to be in front to see it so if you are running late and the parade is still going on just go and stand behind people you should be able to see enough that you will get a good idea of it. the last time I was there I shot a video of the whole witch was 12 and a half minutes
here is the order of the floats sorry about all the miss spelling

first load beauty and the best and cendreal and prince charming anna and elsa
next one repunzel
little manmade
peter pan
maridi
faires ( but they are not on a float)
dragon
a lot of charities walking
panokieo ( and two people on swings) the Mikey mouse song plays here along with zippo de do da
then Micke and Minnie
