I have booked this for our group....has anyone sat there? Wondering how crowded it gets and what time does the parade actually start at that location? :confused3 Our FP+ is from 2:45-3:05.

Thanks so much!!! :goodvibes

No seating. You can sit on the sidewalk at the curb or lean on a fence.

When I did it, it never got crowded at all. Everyone was either sitting at the curb or leaning on a fence behind them.

There's no shade, so be prepared for that.

The parade will start coming by about 3:10 to 3:15. If the cutoff date is 3:05 you should be in the area by then.

Thanks!!! :thumbsup2 I plan on being there at 2:45 because I am OCD like that ;)

Just didn't want to be shoulder to shoulder and it sounds like won't be....I appreciate your feedback!
:wave2:

I did this FP+ in early May and it offered amazing views and we thought it was a great place to get parade photos, as you are right in front of the castle, so you'll get both the castle and the floats/characters in the pictures. That said, there is no shade at all and it was very, very hot in the sun (as it usually is for afternoon parades) so be prepared with a spray fan or cool drink before entering the area! :)

Also, we were disappointed that we missed seeing Elsa and Anna from our spot in the fp area, as their float rotates. Just a little tip, if this is a priority for you don't be afraid to walk around the fp+ area to another spot to see them... There is a very clear and open walking path in the reserved fp+ area!

Just a heads up, people will arrive in the FP+ area prior to 2:45. We arrived at 2:45 and the entire curb section (about half of the hub) was completed taken. We were disappointed to say the least.

One thing to keep in mind is that if there's inclement weather, the parade may be cancelled. You can then change your FP+ to something else, but by that time of day, there's not likely to be much available. We had that happen to us last Tuesday. It was raining on and off that afternoon, and they cancelled the parade at the last minute, while we were in line to enter the FP+ area. We tried to change our FP+, but there was very little available, so we wound up just leaving and going back to the resort for a while. Then we couldn't get another FP+ for the parade during our stay, so we wound up watching it from Frontierland on a different day.

ok - i'm assuming these weren't non-FP+ ppl that just sat on the curb in front of the FP+ section - just that they were allowing ppl n the area b4 the actual official time stated

even w/ the curb section taken was it still good views of the parade?

i really want 2 try for this FP+ when my window opens - bc i hate going so early to try to find viewing spots :crowded: & plus it's a new parade!

That happened to us on June 1. That was the only day my dh was going to be able to see the parade. We got there at 2:35....time stated that we should get there. Got a terrific spot right at the rope, facing towards the right of the Castle.....every shot would have had the Castle in the background. But, at 2:55, they announced the parade was cancelled. And no FP+ s left for anything we wanted to do.
My dd and I did get to see the parade a week ago though. We got a spot on the curb and plopped ourselves down. We were in front of the Emporium, towards the end of Main St. It was about 90 that day....we got fried! The parade didn't get to us until 3:15ish....we never left that spot until 3:30. Sat there from 2:15-3:30. Man, it was hot. But, we really wanted the Castle behind the parade.
I would heartily recommend finding a spot in FrontierLand if possible. Much more shade, with less time spent sitting.

even w/ the curb section taken was it still good views of the parade?

When we did this FP in early May, the spots immediately behind the rope at the curb were all taken. However, it was still VERY easy to see everything and we still felt very close to the action though we stood behind the first row of people. What's nice about the parade is that the floats are huge and very high.

They started letting people in at 2:15 when we were there. However it was not very crowded and all views were good. It was a much better experience than msep which felt massively over crowded and uncomfortable.

Counting down to 14th May!
