Many of us are already buried in close to 30" of snow and some have yet to see a snow plow, some have lost power which has yet to be restored. Many here in the North East are preparing for yet another "blizzard" coming in late this afternoon and lasting until early Thursday morning.

I will be heading out later on this morning to pick up a few items, yes the basic's, milk, bread, juice and some goodie's :rotfl:

If I'm going to get snowed in again, well I might as well be prepared! :goodvibes

I went out yesterday. Then again I needed food.;) Snow is over here in MO, I think.

We had a few inches, kids are off school today.

Well, we got over 30" but we still haven't seen a plow either. We don't really need anything, but I'm a little low on fresh veggies and milk. I'm hoping my DH will take my daughter's SUV (his isn't dug out yet and I have a minivan) to go get some. :rolleyes1

I have the basics but since I have a bake sale and 2 class parties at the end of the week I want to make sure I have all the stuff I need before the snow comes. And I ran out of diswasher liquid and there is no way I can be without that :lmao:

Me, Me!! I ran out of chips and dip. :rotfl2: These snow storms are really killing my diet. :lmao: :lmao:

ugh...I'm going but only because I always do my grocery shopping on Tuesday nights when the kids are at dance. I am dreading it

My mom said she has to pick up some stuff before the snow hits here. On the bright side of all of this snow- NO SCHOOL!:cool1:

That's my plan for this morning....after I check the DIS :).

I doubt that there is any food in the stores here if people even need it. The news was showing the stores on Saturday and they had nothing and I don't know how they could have stocked up by now. What a mess around here.

I just need some bread and I will get that this morning. I got everything else yesterday, and, since I stocked up for the previous storm I had very little to replenish.

I was planning on going to the store today after work, just to pick up a few things that we needed, including some stuff for dinner. Didn't even stop to think about the storm tomorrow. Ugh, it's going to be a nightmare tonight. I'm really dreading this. :headache:

We got 8" of snow this past weekend and the forecast was for another 8" today. Yesterday we got to go into work 2 hours late because of the SuperBowl so I went to the grocery store in the morning. It was 6:45am and I was the only customer in my local Kroger! That was SO nice. But, I had to U-Scan a whole cart of groceries because there were no cashiers in yet! That was so NOT nice!

Today my DD's school is closed and my office is closed. DH's office is open but he's taking a vacation day.

I'm going after I take my son to school but we are almost out of milk and he has decided he will only eat bagels in the morning so I need some of those too.

Looks like we aren't getting this system up here in Maine either.... :thumbsup2 Although the snowmobilers would love some fresh stuff....

OMG, I stopped at the store to pick up cat litter Friday night, because it was on sale, and you would think that we were going to be stuck in our homes for days. No milk, no bread, no water... everyone else had a full cart, or more and here I am on line with a head of lettuce and a cucumber, of course they were even sold out of cat litter! We never even got snow where I am.

I am staying far away from the supermarkets today, the weatherman promised we would see snow from this storm. I may make a stop at the liquor store though. :)

Tina,

I went to Wegman's yesterday in Woodbridge and they were fully stocked. They did well during the last storm too.

They had every brand of bread, all types of milk, eggs, meats. The only thing lacking was the fresh seafood. That department was closed. The bakery was ramping up as I was there and they were putting out the fruit tarts and making cream pies.

I think a lot of stores did get deliveries yesterday.

DH said the same thing. I think most were out delivering yesterday.

Nope, not me. I do my shopping on Sunday mornings. We never get snowed in for more than 24 hours (36 hours at the very most) so I just don't buy into the hysteria. If we run out of milk no biggie, DS will drink something else for the day and we won't eat cereal. I just don't get why people stock up like crazy, especially around here. Unless you live in the city where the streets do get bad (snow plows have a hard time in there) no reason you can't be out in about 24 hours. We got 17 inches on Friday night/Saturday and by Saturday night I ran out to get a pizza and movies and the roads were passable and the majors were clear less than 24 hours after it started. Now if this were an ICE storm, my answer would be completely different ;)

I'm set for food personally. I still have a turkey in my freezer if need be! I know alot of people at Belvoir that can't get out and the commissary is closed still. I offered to go to the store for some friends and have them meet at the end of the street or something. All this snow is making me want to take up drinking!
