Fencing tips?

Hey!

So since I was little I LOVED the idea of fencing. I never got a chance to try it though. (Financialy, Distance). Now, my mom says she would be willing to put some money into fencing lessons. I currently reside in SE Michigan and was wondering if any of you guys have experience with the fencing clubs in the Michigan division. Also any tips on starting to fence would be GREAT!!

I tried fencing for 6 months.....its REALLY HARD.....
equipment is expensive. Most clubs let you nborrow equipment....but it smells worse than kesha.

and it takes a while to get a hang of it. Its very fine motions.....if you are a drumer, its easier with the wrist, and dance helps footwork...so i got it in about 3 months.....it takes most about 4-5.


Best story ever....second lesson, i was paired with this REALLY cute girl......i mean beautiful.... I was paired to go up against her....I used al my best moves to try and impress her..... She beat me every time in less than 10 seconds........
