I am looking for a kitten but can't seem to find any. Does anyone know anyone that has some? I am in the Concord area. The SPCA has a wait list.

If you want to drive up to my hometown, Kennebunk/Kennebunkport, our local animal shelter has all kinds of kittens. Every year around April, they have a "kitten shower" for all the new little kitties that find their way to the shelter. People donate money, food, kitty toys, litter, etc. I usually mail a contribution because I know if I actually went into the shelter I'd be bringing home a lot of new friends for Henry. In fact, that's where we got Henry!

I'm not from NH, but have you tried www.petfinder.com? You can enter your zip code and search for kittens available in local shelters. There's also a classified section you can search. Good luck! I hope you find a kitten ... or two. There are plenty out there in search of good homes.

I know my cousin is currently fostering a mom cat and her 4 kittens from the Cocheco Valley Humane Society in Dover. She said they have several other mothers that just had kittens as well. These kittens won't be ready for adoption for a while though. I think they also had kittens that are ready to go.

I got both of my cats as kittens there.

Give a call to the Conway Area Humane Society (located just outside Conway Village on route 113). Or check out their web site at

www.conwayshelter.org

They usually have lots of kittens available, as well as adult cats.
