My emergency weather alert has all ready gone off today.
I’m ready as always .
What say you?

And here is a little something to get us in the mood:

Stay safe!

I'm all ready! Two days of rain and wind, and hopefully no damage or power outages.

Stay safe everyone.

My daughter is flying into NJ tonight from SC to go to a 21st birthday party, a party boat in Atlantic City tomorrow, should be interesting, she flies back Monday morning. Fortunately her flight was paid for with the sale of her Clemson-FSU student ticket so she’s not out the money.

I do like a good storm, so I'll be enjoying it from the porch Saturday afternoon, we may even indulge in a hot toddy. I will also be venturing out Saturday morning, Costco & Target wait for no one! 🤪
The real question (for us) is are we going to try to get all the mowing done this afternoon/evening before the rain starts or are we going to just let it go and deal with it next week.

I's hitting to the north of us, so we should be good. We brought in the items most likely to get blown away, like light chairs and cushions. When I say, "north", I mean about 20 miles north, so we'll still get rain and wind.

The system is now officially Tropical Storm Ophelia, with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph.

We are preparing tonight - hanging hay nets where they won't get too wet, preparing the barn for bringing the horses in tomorrow morning and keeping them in during the worst of it. The worst part about having horses is taking care of them in bad weather. They still need to be fed and watered no matter what's going on outside.

I’m at work but everything ready at home.
I had a good laugh when I came in one of my bosses was like u want to stay here tonight?(I work in hotel) I said I’m no because u knew this was coming and no one had sense to text those who had off or ask people before today. My medicines and change of clothes I’d have to go back home after work and bring them so I’ll stay home.
PP planning smh

We're in a hotel at the beach close to where it made landfall. Lost power for about 4.5 hours, starting around 430am. The wind and rain were so loud, and then got quiet around 6am as it passed and the wind direction shifted. Going to go walk the beach a bit (or at least step outside to see what it's like) after getting some coffee in.

Seems to be not much going on here in the Philly area. It's damp and drizzly. When it's very windy I can hear it howling upstairs here, but so far nothing. We cancelled our Covid booster appointments we had for this morning because of the storm and now we realize we could have gone.

Western Maryland. Some light rain and a little wind, but nothing out of the ordinary so far.

I must say, getting around Kent Island yesterday was a dream, so I think many others had the same thoughts!
I‘m afraid to drive over the Bay Bridge in rainy and windy weather.

I’m not very thrilled about it in sunny clear weather either.
