Fellow asthmatics, have you gotten a pneumonia vaccine?

That's why I got it. It will help prevent secondary bacterial pneumonia...but it won't help if the virus attacks the lungs, of course.

I feel stupid...I didn't even know there was a vax for pneumonia. My DH has asthma and has been hospitalized twice in the last 15 years for pneumonia. I am going to make sure he gets this shot next time he goes to the dr. Thanks!

YOU shouldn't feel stupid...his dr. should have informed him!
