Fees for SSR Fitness Club?

Could someone please remind me how the fitness clubs work at DVC. We are DVC members (BCV), but we are sneaking in an extra trip at SSR by renting points from another member. Can we use the fitness facilities at SSR for free? Many thanks.

yes..as a DVC member you have free access to the fitness facilities (very nice by the way..i used them in Jan)..the spa is xtra of course

I would like to know about what kind of equipment is in the gym's. Is it like a word gym, or like the super 8 gym with 2 pieces of light equipment? I like to exercise and just did not know what to expect.

I do not know the gyms you referenced..but it had about 4 treadmills, 4 elipticals, 4 bikes, free weights and nautilus..all brand spanking new

I believe it is all Life Fitness equipment. I was very impressed with the gym when we toured.

Question - If we are going in October and bring family with us in the same room, can they use the center as well for free?

I believe that when you are a DVC member staying with DVC points, everyone in your party is treated like a member...so YES they could use the fitness area for free. During my last stay, each of my guests got the DVC discount for spa services at SSR, even tho I was the only true member. Eveyone's resort i.d indicated DVC.
