Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

May 14th continued

After the performance of King Arthur and the Holy Grail concluded it was time to pick up the kimmunicator. I felt a bit silly doing this and the CM seemed a little confused about a bunch of adults wanting to play the game. I had heard that it was fun so figured I would give it a whirl despite feeling a bit weird. Our mission was in France which was luckily where we were headed next.

At the entrance to France we spotted some more Flower and Garden topiaries.

I am a girly girl at heart and love the princesses so of course they are always my favourite topiaries. I loved the festival in 2009 when the princesses were the main display at the front of the park.

When we arrived in France we saw that Marie was coming out for photos. I was excited, we had never seen her before and I just love the kittens from The Aristocats.

Next up was Aurora, we had hit character jackpot!

Aurora was further back and off to the side near the Beauty and the Beast topiaries.

After meeting with the characters we began our Kim Possible mission. It took us all over the France pavilion.

We made a quick stop inside the main store during the middle of the game to browse and have some fun.

Mom was shopping and Alek and Erich were doing their own thing so I continued the Kim Possible mission on my own. It led me out of the store and to a nearby window. The game drew the attention of a little girl nearby. She was very interested so I let her see the phone and she "helped" me solve the mission. Her parents thanked me for letting her join in. I was more than happy to, hopefully they were able to let her get a kimmunicator of her own.

My family joined up with me as I was finishing the mission. We found the last spot together.

Overall it is not something I will bother to do again. The concept is cute and I am sure that kids love it but it was not for me and did not hold my interest.

Mom was playing paparazzi and sneaking photos of us as we checked some props out.

The Canadian thumbs up tribute. ;)

After depositing the kimmunicator in the hidden return bin we consulted our Pixar Weekend guide to see when Remy and Emile would be out. The guide said they should be out shortly so we went and got in line for them. Mom and I let Alek and Erich hold our spot while we went off to get refreshments.

I was rather disappointed with my drink, it didn't live up to all the hype here on the Dis. I found it rather tasteless and weak. :sad2:

As we stood in line for Remy the wind started to pick up and the skies started to darken. We have enough experience with Florida weather that we knew what was coming and we now had a quick decision to make...

I want to try both of those drinks because I have also heard people here rave about them. So sorry to hear you didn't really care for yours. How about your moms? Did she like hers?

Yep, she liked hers, she had had one before so she knew she would. I had a sip of hers as well and didn't like it either, maybe I am just hard to please? :confused3

Great picture of your mom with Aurora. Yay Canadian thumbs up! Woot woot! :thumbsup2 I'm sad to hear you didn't like the Grey Goose slushie since that's a must-do for my trip. What did your mom get? Was hers any better? Uh oh, the weather sounds pretty ominous....

She had the Grand Marnier slushie. She liked it but I did not care for it, not to my tastes.

I don't really care for frozen drinks but I figured I can get one and my mom get the other just so I can say I've tried them. Have you ever had a Lapu Lapu? Lots of people rave about that on here also so I tried one in 2009. I must be a light weight cause it was way too strong for me! My MIL ended up drinking hers and mine! She was scrapping pineapple out with a spoon by the time she got to the bottom of the second one! :drinking1 Our whole family was thankful for Disney Buses that night! ;)

Yep, I had a Lapu Lapu a few years ago, I agree with you, way too strong! I am not a big or frequent drinker so I could not handle it.

Well I think I'd be more of a fan of the vodka so I'll stick to the Grey Goose slushi. I'll let you know what I think of it! Watch I'll hate it too

I am glad I am not the only one who didn't love the KP missions. I didn't want to admit it. I got bored half way through and ended up staying in the store to shop while DH and DD finished it.

 That pretty much sums up how I felt, I was bored halfway through but had to finish it to find out where to leave the darn thing.

What did Aurora and Erich talk about? It looks interesting...

The pictures with Marie are SO CUTE! Especially the one with her paws under your brothers' chins.

Haha, those beret pictures are funny. I agree, they HAVE become internet celebrities!

Hm.....thinking of next month? Well...as long as it's not 21-28th, then I'll be around. Can't wait to see if that works out!

It's too bad you didn't like any of the slushies. To me, the Grand Marnier was candy sweet and very yummy. We didn't try the Grey Goose one, but have made our own GG slushies at home that were good!

Haha, I'm easily amused, so I think I'll enjoy the KP mission. It's so nice that you played with the little girl.

He was probably asking her if she had spotted any evil postal workers in the area. ;)

It is rather sad. :sad2: I am just waiting for the day that somebody unknown recognizes us.

Oh no! We fly back on the 27th. :guilty:

Yeah, I was disappointed, I was really looking forward to that slushie!

Hopefully you like it. I found it too long and overly simple but then again it was designed for kids!

I would love to have a Sailor Moon cake! I asked Erich to try and find me good copies of the show since all I have are rather bad quality VHS tapes. I don't know why I still love that show, maybe it is sentimental because it was a childhood favourite. :confused3

I just got my son a set of The Gummy Bear Adventures for his 22nd birthday! He had already picked up Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers :rotfl:. Now that he is getting close to graduating college I think he is regressing to the days before we expected him to find a job!

I'm surprised the boys weren't more in to solving the "mission" it seems like saving the world would be right up their alley!

I wasn't impressed with the one I had either. I enjoyed the frozen lemonade I got over at the Outpost a few days later much better. :confused3

Ah - you'll stick it out - like you said, you are experienced - it'll blow over!

The 27th? Well....you COULD stay in Toronto for a night or two....If you want to do all that stuff you wanted to do....but it's what your brother's want too. Hmmm...

I didn't mind the KP Missions. I agree that it is simple, but if you ignore the storyline and have fun pushing buttons to make things happen, then it's kind of interesting. I always notice new things when I play that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. And of course, I'm always thinking of how much Carter and Landon are going to love it in a few years. :rotfl:

The No Way Jose looks so good! I'd love to try one on our next trip, but I'm afraid the wait would be too long with so few tables and no ADRs. Did you all have to wait very long for a table? I wouldn't mind waiting, but the boys don't like to wait very long.

Or would it? ;)

Sadly can't do that, I am scheduled to work the day after and Alek and Erich probably are as well. Don't worry, one of these days I will get to Toronto!

We always make sure to show up right around 11am which is when they open. We have always managed to get seated right away and always get a booth. You are right though, it is very small and also very popular so the wait can be long if you show up later in the day.

Grey Goose Slushies are Awesome!!

Too bad you weren't there, I would have gladly handed mine off to you. ;)
