Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Oh my gosh, I have so much to catch up on.

WOW, I love those new sculptures! Did you know there are a small group of people that work for Lego called Master Builders that are responsible for creating these? Nerd Alert on College Humor interviewed one of them.

I love that the sculptures of the characters are giant versions of their Lego selves!!! So cute!

Chrono Trigger reference!!! Believe it or not, I'm still playing it...and I started last year. I have game A.D.D. Andrew played the GBA version and I bought him the upgraded DS version. He finished in 2 weeks.

It's official, I MUST stay at the Coronado. I love all your pictures and everything about it!!! It's on my must-do list.

Your brothers...I swear, are HILARIOUS. Is Erich pointing to the heavens in that one pyramid picture? Drill to the heavens, Simon!

Beth, I love your bathing suit, it's so cuute!

Aww man, you bruised yourself! I'm constantly bruising myself without knowing it....

Love your camera. They look great!

Thanks for the pictures. LegoLand was still under wraps when we were there. It was nice to see all the new displays.

You will have to check them out the next time you are down there.

Cool, I didn't know, I'll have to look that up. :thumbsup2

Congrats on getting the reference! It is our favourite RPG, we got it when it first came out for the Super Nintendo back in the early 90's, it only cost $100! It was a prize from our Dad for beating Super Mario! We played it all the time! I wish that they still made quality RPG's but sadly the ones that have come out in recent years have been really lacking in good characters and decent plot.

It's a great resort, I think you would really like it. :thumbsup2

That is an anime reference right? Not one I have seen, it is possible Erich has though.

Aww man, you bruised yourself! I'm constantly bruising myself without knowing it....

Me too, I always hurt myself, it is pretty much a daily occurrence.

That is one awesome camera! I want a waterproof one! :) If I go on the birthday trip I want to do next year, I'll need one of those. :thumbsup2 And you guys took some hilarious photos! I love the ones of the bathroom signs. I don't know why, but those are some really funny looking bathroom signs and what is with your brothers getting eaten by monsters LOL If the TR gets any crazier, I think this maybe the funniest TR I've ever read. :lmao:

That pool looks so refreshing right now. It was so hot here today. I think the digsite is one of my favorite themed areas.

You are wise not to believe her, you will be shocked at what she got Erich to do for a photo op on our first park day. :sad2:

Can't wait to see and hear about this!

Whoo-hoo for another classicist!

My undergrad was a double major in classics and archaeology and I went for a year to UPenn for their Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World grad program. It was after a year that I realized that I couldn't take another moment of Ancient Greek, or I would do something drastic. I always loved the archaeology, but struggled with the language.

I decided to change my focus, moved to Florida, got my grad degree from UWF in Historical Archaeology, and was working as an archaeologist up until I had Everett.

Moving into nursing was probably a smart move, most of the people I know who graduated with PhDs in classics are not employed at the moment. :sad2:

I am not an archaeologist, but I beleiev you will have heard of the BARROW dig !!My hometown;s museum displays many articles from it as Barrow is about 6 miles away!!!

All caught up !!The Bros are off to a good start in the antics department !!My favorite is him peeking up the Princesses skirt:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Only the Bros !!And Marv, Beth and I are both innocent and pure :snooty:;):rotfl2:

I am a little late, but totally hooked! I love your TR! I think it is too cool to hear your brother and your mom!

We stayed at CSR and I loved it; I agree that I don't understand why it gets bad reports. We didn't have a car, and stayed in Cabana 8B. It was ideal! Close to the digsite, the main building, with a bus stop behind us (and when we missed that bus - we were able to run to the main bus stop to catch it there!)

Great pictures of everything; I can't wait until you get to the parks! My friend was there that weekend - so I will be checking out all of the people in the background!

We are headed back in Aug. We are very happy DVC members now, so we won't be able to stay at CSR- but no complaints- the resorts offer so many great options.

CandleontheWater, we did not do a sacrificial picture because they often did those at the top of the temple/pyramid whatever you wanna call it. We all assumed we were not allowed to climb the temple so we never did that picture.

YukiPhnx, nice that you got my Gurren Lagann reference. Its' great show and two movies, one of the few "newer" anime I have seen.

Now wait a minute! Early on in this TR Lessa said she thinks Rosie might be your favorite DISer, so NO WAY I'm buying ANY of this!!! :sad2:

What are the key words here? Lessa thinks, and as for Rosie, what can I say I love you Rosie, you crack me up, you are so full of life or vigour. On a few occassions, Rosie sprang to mind on this trip, and a few moments were captured.

You are wise not to believe her, you will be shocked at what she got Erich to do for a photo op on our first park day. :sad2:
Pheew, glad to hear that. I had much higher hopes for her. Sounds like I was right!!! ;)
And Marv, Beth and I are both innocent and pure :snooty:;):rotfl2:

Yeah, she sprang to mind on my trip also. There may actually be a few captured moments appearing in the next few updates...... :rolleyes1
AMEN ROSIE!!
You're agreeing with Rosie. That tells me all I need to know.......

Forgot to mention earlier -- I love the underwater shots!! I've got a Fujifilm underwater digital

Takes some nice shots -- here's one from our May 2010 trip, at the French Quarter main pool.

This shot is actually a little darker than most of our pool pictures -- it was right under the serpent, so the area was shady.

Beth knows me and how full of it I am and still LOVES me !!!:snooty::rotfl2:You will not change her mind !!I only wish I could have been in some of those pix with The Bros !!! Just up my Ally!!!:rotfl2:Although I would NOT have looked up that Gals skirt!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 LOVVVVVING all of the photos so far! I am so impressed with the D10 photos. I was looking into one a while ago but that price tag is frightening to me!! I just looked again and it does not appear they have come down at all despite the age.

I LOVE my Canon cameras though and I would LOVE to take underwater photos. Sooooo...it's completely your fault that I just went to amazon and found a bargain underwater non-OEM case that will fit my Canon SD750. It appears to get great reviews...and for $25 I couldn't pass it up. Now fingers crossed it arrives FAST...like before Tuesday...so I can use it on our trip! ;)

Leesa! :wave2: Good to "see" you again! Glad to hear the rain curse was broken on this trip but sorry about the heat! :sunny: I loved T-Rex! Thanks for the pics of the new Lego displays! Can't wait to see them in October! The pics of your brothers are so funny! There is never a dull moment with them around! :lmao: Can't wait to hear more about the trip!

I really like the camera although getting it hasn't stopped me from wanting to get a DSLR!

Well, hopefully we can keep the funny coming for you. ;)

Hi Debby! I really liked CSR but I want to try out all the Deluxe resorts so I don't know if we will stay there again, I do recommend it to others though!

Oh please, Mom is always saying "Did you see that Rosie posted .... We should do this for Rosie..... Rosie would like this...."

Up here it was $50 more than the Sony I was looking at and they were pretty much the same in megapixels and zoom so I decided to pay the little bit extra and get the Canon.

I hope that the case arrives in time for you!

I welcomed the heat although it did make things hard for Mom. :sad2:

I just read all of your TR so far and it's great!

I'm excited to join in for another of your TRs.

I am very impressed that the 4 of you could share a room for 2 weeks. I think I would have made it about 2 days with my 2 brothers and my mom!

Hey Julie!

 We are used to sharing a room considering the amount we traveled growing up although sharing a room this trip did have its problems. :rolleyes1

Hmmmm, I would take a DVC suite over CSR. CSR was nice but I would take a suite with kitchen and laundry in a second. It would also solve our sleeping issues if we had a two bedroom suite.

You should try Wyndham Bonnet Creek, it's located right next to Carribean Beach. We loved it there, on site, yet not owned by Disney :). $100 a night got us a 2 bedroom with full kitchen , washer & dryer etc..

BUT , I have to admit, I thought everyone was crazy when they said "ooh it doesn't have that Disney feel" <roll eyes> crackerjacks, I thought. That Disney feel, seriously. Oooops,OK, proven wrong. We will prob stay on-site again cause we missed that <ahem> Disney feel! But we will be back to Wynham Bonnet Creek one day also. We usually stay mod so maybe we'll try CS, the pool looks awesome!

Your brothers are a hoot!!
